  • I LOVE the Maribel Thick Cut Marmalade - similar to 'Oxford style'.
Dried herbs, spices and seasonings - especially their bigger tubs of white pepper :j. Got a  at the price of white pepper in the major supermarkets.
Batt's Relishes - Sweet Onion, Sweet Chilli, Sweetcorn are all delicious.
    Batt's Extra Light Mayo.
    Halloumi.
Their Milbona 'bargain yoghurts' are brilliant - packs of 8.
Good for Seabrook's Crisps - which are Gluten Free!
I buy their own range of bread for my OH and he says its as good as Hovis.

Thank you everyone for your continued responses. I've also been reading the Good and Bad buys thread (which I hadn't realised already existed).

I'm super fussy on coffee and have only found 2 options I enjoy - so looks like I might have to swerve their coffee, although OH isn't fussy so I guess would finish up anything I didn't like - but apart from that I guess I need to try a bit of everything.

Is it wrong that I'm planning an outing this afternoon and currently really excited!

That's exactly the conclusion I came to - I tried the Bellarom last week and couldn't drink it, so will stick to DE.

i buy my sister the purple ground coffee, im not sure what its called but she can be a bit of a coffee 'snob' so i'm guessing it's okay, i don't drink it myself.
i've been sat thinking for a while and i can't think of anything i've bought that wasn't liked. the weekly 'offers' are pretty good, esp the greek week spinach and cheese swirleees that i have to keep freezer space for :D
if you're a specs wearer and also use heavy duty greasy moisturiser i can reccommend the glasses wipes, they bring my specs up sparkly

The Maribel jams - really high fruit content..

Actually it's pretty much all good. My only reservaiton is the soft fruit, which doesn't last long.

I particularly love the Muesli, esp when its on the super weekend savers

    Skyr Yoghurt
    Butter
    Cooked meats
    Pizza bases
Freshona Tinned Tomatoes ( much better then their simple range)
    Batts Tomato ketchup
    Mayonaise
Herbs, spices, sugar, flour, any baking stuff really
In store bakery - knocks the socks off Tescos
Any meat and fish I have bought I have never had a problem with, always been pretty good quality and value for money
Love love love their southern fried chicken, much tastier then any other supermarkets, even Marks
    cleaning stuff - all good
Dishwasher Tablets, I buy the bog standard ones, chop them in half, and my dishes are clean
The frozen Goyza they sometimes have are really good, I always stock up on those

I could go on, best to go try :)
  • I wouldn't buy anyone's instant capuccino ever again.

We do our weekly shopping now at Lidl and you can get nearly everything. Some highlights are,

The bakery (spend a smalll fortune on their cookies)
    Greek yogurt
    Gravy Granules
Nappies (this has been a big money saver, as we used pampers but Lidl’s are the only ones that are just as good)

There are a few things though that are hit and miss
Cereal (the fruit and fibre is brilliant but their Frosties taste stale, plus they don’t have the vitamins and minerals that the big brands add)
Chicken and bacon (might be me but I find they always leak out a lot of water and gunk)
