Sorry not very good at this forum business and can't quote and reply to individuals. What does qed? Mean?

On the one hand they are saying we need to contact them within 7 days to renew but now saying they automatically renewed without payment. They didn't attempt to take payment off my card.

I've checked all emails from igo and they didn't send anything prior to th renewal date either.

You said in your OP that they did send the info - to your old email.

If they promised to contact you before auto renewing but did not you may have a case but I'm not sure it's that clear yet what has and hadn't happened.

Yes sorry the email I pasted above was off the old email we don't use.

We deliberately didn't pay by d/d to avoid all this as we never renew with existing insurer as we can always get a better deal. ��

How can I provide proof of sale of the car as I think I binned the note from DVLA notifying change of ownership?

Oh just a side query. How can I avoid this with future insurance policies. I don't want auto renewal but if every policy includes it then paying upfront makes no difference as they seem to be able to renew without being paid.
