Take it you didn't bother to actually read the thread? If you had you would see what I already posted on the matter.

Sorry, I missed that that was you above with the Mac.

Not once was I given the option of taking it into a shop despite living 15 minutes away from one.

So you just automatically went to do it online, Apple didn't try to stop you, and you hadn't read your options properly? And you know now for next time? You seemed to claim that Apple don't do tradeins online, which they clearly do.

    Well...

You can't always take it to the store because it's not apple that accept them and recycle them. It's their 3rd party contractor Brightstar.

No, you can always take it in to an Apple Store.

It says so on the internet so it must be true

I think I drew a reasonable conclusion. Anyway, to help others in future, can you now confirm that you understand that taking things to an Apple Store IS an option?

Except I took the phones in person to the Leeds Apple Store, they examined them and printed off a voucher.

    My phone has been returned.

    There is zero damage.

What is this about? Nothing. The same condition I sent it. Excellent condition.

I have it, in writing, 'Heavy damage to device: Metal casing has broken'.

In my opinion they have tried to defraud me.
