Could I use this TV
https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/logik-l20he18-20-led-tv-10172444-pdt.html
with this Freesat box
https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/digital-and-smart-tv/set-top-boxes/humax-hdr-1100s-w-freesat-smart-tv-hd-recorder-1-tb-10133281-pdt.html
I have 2 electric sockets to plug them into, and 2 Freesat cables which presumably plug into the Freesat box.
Yes, and you'd only need one of the freesat cables.
If you don't need the recording function, this would work as well.

I can't view this link at work but the summary (in Google) suggests that it is an app you can load onto a Roku box (or an Android box, or a Fire TV stick) which will let you view (via the Internet) Freeview channels. Yes or No?
If yes then my previous advice stands ... OP doesn't care what the underlying technology is - OP simply wants to be able to watch TV in the kitchen.

Listen to Annie. Respect her requirements. She doesn't know the difference between a coax cable and freeview cable (and why should she?). Do you really think that navigating menus is her thing? I hate doing it and I've been involved in IT for over 30 years.
It was Eddie Izzard who said "You never see a character in a movie using multiple remotes or navigating menus." [sic]
Can on-demand streaming devices, through a combination of app loading and other fiddling, show live TV?
Yes. Well done. Pat yourself on the back.
Is it simple? Is it "Basic TV"?
No. Fail.
A result isn't always the right result

Yes.
Those two, in combination, will offer access to the aforementioned channels.0 -
Back to basics what is available at the site you want the TV.
What Power, Internet, TV sources?
How big a TV do you want at that location?
do you have wireless internet in the house?0 -
Anne, if you've got a satellite cable in the kitchen this https://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/home-decor/freesat-receiver-hb-1100s-refurbished.html will work in the same way a freeview box does. It will also connect to your home internet connection to give catch up tv although you don't need or have to do this.
Its the simplest solution, use the satellite dish as an aerial and a freesat box as the receiver.0 -
There are TV that come with freesat and Internet based catchup as no need for an extra box.0
