And is that mandatory? Should VCs's witness Statement have come with one? or are some Judges more picky than others?0 -
Some Judges are more picky than others. It's not mandatory.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How do i present the WS? Do i get it bound? Do i just stick a staple in the top corner? I'm guessing i keep the Evidence section separate so the Judge can have the Evidence and the WS side by side to reference?
Lastly, i'm at 52 pages in total (the WS + the evidence), is that ok? It was suggested to me previously to keep at below 50.

Search the forum for RING BINDER.

Sorry for the question Coupon mad, I'm in such a rush to get this submitted and its not always easy to find info on this forum. I've read near enough every post on this forum over the past 2 weeks, and haven't come across anyone mentioning or discussing ring binder or a description of best practice to submit a WS. Its hard to search a term, when you don't know the best term to search. i had been searching 'submitting WS' and so much of the results returned are people writing a WS, or people who have just submitted a defence and are discussing when to start a WS.
I think this forum has so many posts now, its sometimes hard to find something when you don't always know what it is you are looking for.
I would have thought the newbies sticky would mention it, but once it gets to the court process, it tales off a little. it talks about what to expect in court, and what not to say, but i cant see it mentioning best practice of submitting evidence.
Last question for now. I've got the template cost schedule. I work freelance and not every day, so can earn anything from £0-£300 a day. does this effect what i can claim, if anything? And the 3 hours at £19 for the second part, is that fixed at 3 hours for a reason or can i claim more? I've literally spent days writing my WS.
Thanks again to everybody for all your help though, hopefully on the home straight now and will be able to chalk us up another win. :beer:0 -

So my deadline for WS submission is today. I've been and hand delivered to the court. I spoke to VCS on wed to confirm it was OK to send via email. After trying to email it through to VCS, i've just been told they are not willing to accept a WS via email. Are they allowed to do this they claim they are?0

Couldn't you have anticipated their answer?0 -
Why on earth did you ask VCS that?
Couldn't you have anticipated their answer?
Sorry, let me rephrase. On Wed they told me it was fine to submit via email, so that's what I've done. Its only today they are now refusing to accept it. I've been told else where that if their email address is on the paperwork they have sent me, then it is classed a acceptable for me to reply via that method. Cameron at VCS is trying to say its against county court rules to do it via email. what i wanna know really is he lying, and can i take the fact that I've sent it, and copied myself in, that its been served?
thanks0
