Also for some reason "Game Over" will not sort into date order. Are comps ending 07/10 scattered amongst the 48,002 pages in "Game Over" ?

At the bottom of "game over" if you change the sort by to thread title, the sort order to Ascending and the "from the" to Last month that will bring any up that were posted in the last month beginning at page 37 (with the default of 20 per page)

(if you want to go 45 days then todays start at page 72)

I enter competitions on this site every day of the year always on the closing day and sometimes I do enter a few for the next day. It has never happened to me before including this month October 2018.

I try and keep up to date with posts as they happen and don't rely on entering on the last day. However, I do 'hoover up' end date posts to ensure that I haven't missed anything, particularly posts from on the end date day, or perhaps the day before.

I get VERY annoyed at companies who close a competition randomly on the end date day, my view being that it should be open to just before midnight on that day unless specifically stated otherwise.

While I am extremely grateful to all the folk who spend time voluntarily keeping these boards going and do not envy them the job at all, I would hope that common sense would dictate that only competitions that have an end date IN THE PAST would be moved to game over. I would prefer that old comps are still showing on the main board until someone gets around to removing them, rather than live competitions disappearing.

Again, I thank those who do this job, but pretty please, wait until the next day....?

    Totally agree!

You obviously missed it then, and it has happened before (there are several posts in the chat corner).

The advice is not to enter on the last day - one of the numerous reasons for not entering on the last day is it takes longer to do it that way.

But what happens to those that have been posted today and moved to GO already. Surely they should leave them on the current Board.

People volunteer to post competitions, people volunteer to be board guides - none of these people get paid. They do it for free, and you will notice the amount of posts there are which indicates how much of their free time they are donating to this one forum.

Im sorry, but unless you have time to take over, and run the board in a way that you want it, then please be grateful for these people, they dont ask for anything, so i think the least we can do is offer them our thanks, and keep the odd 'mishap' such as moving some competitions to game over a few hours too early (and bare in mind, it does state this can happen in the rules - would be good if everyone read those.......) because they will not have time to do it later, should be ignored.

Maybe, do tomorrows competitions tonight, then you will be a day ahead, and catch up with the ones that ended today if you have time.

Coming cat says it All for me.
It's a free site, comps is run on volunteer time, it's fine that sometimes errors will be made. Posters are human.
If a comp that closes in November is in the wrong place, pm a board guide to move it.

    I agree with "Ms Chocah…"

Please do not move to "Game Over" until al least the day after the closing date.

Also thank you "mjm3346" I have now managed to sort "Game Over" to date order. And as you mentioned page 37 that clearly shows competitions that are still live and end this evening and tonight. This can be seen by the time posted by the brilliant people who post competitions for our benefit.
