    Apparently not.
  • How about a little self respect and personal responsibility?? Having a heart condition does not make you incapable of work. Your circumstances have changed now and you have to cut your cloth accordingly.

You’ve got yourself into this situation without taking the opportunities to head it off or resolve it. It’s now reached it’s inevitable conclusion which, frankly, you deserve.

What affect is stressing about bailiffs etc having on your heart condition?

Stop arguing with strangers on the internet. Go get your stuff packed and find someone to take your cats.

I can't believe I'm writing this in a thread but I am totally with the landlord on this one and OP is either a wind up merchant or a rather nasty person
An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......

I am able to move somewhere that costs up to £1,000 pm. It will have to be outside of London. I am going to get help with moving costs and deposit from UC and I am going to get family handouts to top up the rental difference from what I will get with the UC cap. But obviously my family were not able to
help with the £4,000 rental cost.

do you have someone that can possibly pay 6 months up front? Finding a private rental is hard enough when receiving benefits (many landlord do not rent to people on benefits) having a last landlord reference that states you have not paid any rent for 9 months, are over £36k in arrears, having to go to court for eviction and bankrupt is not going to make you an ideal tenant so I suspect it could take a considerable time to find somewhere that would accept you.
Do you have family you could stay with until your health improves?

Please don't try to help this this person. If this is true they have intentionally stayed in a place they can't afford leaving the landlord hugely out of pocket for both rent and costs. he has no intention of moving until he is kicked out - and seem to view it allas a bit of a joke. He clearly could have moved out earlier - he said he had family who would help, but hasn't because he doesn't want to.

    I call troll though.

Really what I am looking for is more specific legal advice on my options at the moment.

I know I can file a N161 form for an appeal to request a re-trial given that I was not given a chance to defend my counterclaim at court. The court of appeal can consider this and I suppose that while this is done no enforcement can take place. That would be one way to go.

You and the "Chav from Hell" (former neighbour) have a great deal in common, it seems to me, OP. She managed over 18 months rent-free. r.

Smodlet, this "Chav from Hell" seems to have made a lasting impression on you...

Ah the good old "mainstream media" claim (twice in this post alone),

    s!

I'm pretty sure that the existence of the mainstream media is a fact, rather than an outrageous "claim"...
