It's the Nielsen/NetRatings survey probably the least generous survey around, you only get a reward for joining, there is a draw for Amazon vouchers but the odds aren't good.
As for the software it doesn't effect your pc as mentioned just sits there seeing what websites you visit the most. TNS also does something similar but the rewards are better. If it was more like shopandscan they might get a few more takers.
Also remembered that Toluna have also been sending emails out for this program also.0 -
So far as I know, it's legit but I don't like the idea of a little bit of software looking over my shoulder and tracking my every move, so I didn't take it up.0

Hi all, yeah it was for Nielsen i had done it, but got very annoying and realised that the rewards for it were very poor so i cancelled it.0

I've just received an email from Valued Opinions " We have an interesting opportunity for you to take part in. Our client is interested in your experience and activities online. To participate in this study you will need to download and install a software application on your computer. It takes just five minutes to sign up with a few of your details; after installing you will be rewarded without any further activity as long as you have it running! Please be assured this software will not interfere with your PC in any way. If you agree to participate in this study you will be eligible to receive over £3. "
I'm sure Valued Opinions are a reputable organisation but I am VERY VERY WARY of allowing unknown software to be installed on my computer to monitor my online activities, especially as I also do online banking. Has anybody else received this invitation and taken it up? There is no indication of whose software it is, or any guarantee that it might not foul up and be incompatible with existing applications I run, especially when we the incompatibility chaos Microsoft's VISTA caused on thousands of computers. Am I being overcautious here?0 -

I did this and it's fine. It's part of the Neilson company who also do that shopping scan monitor!
You don't even notice it running apart from when occasionally it pops up asking which member of your household is currently using the PC.0 -
Is anyone having problems logging into Valued Opinions? When I click on the Member Login menu option, after about ten seconds, I get an "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error".
Just wanted to check if it was just me, before I contact them...
