  • I couldn't log on earlier in the day either, but could just now.

I can't remember the spinning "M" every time you changed screen previously. Perhaps I just didn't notice it before?:undecided

I would not compare Marcus with TSB. TSB has a track record of outstanding IT failures, systematic ones. Marcus is a challenger savings back and I sincerely doubt they have old technology in the background. As challenger they have to try twice as hard to win customers. With old establishments like TSB and others, they may well have become complacent over the years.
PS: Logging into my Marcus account was no problem today.
Or simply provide a market-leading interest rate on an easy access account with a generous maximum balance limit. :j

They could do all that on an IT platform powered by steam and they'd still have customers hammering down the door. :)

(that's pretty much what happened when BM offered 1.45%, and their IT doesn't seem to have been upgraded from clockwork to steam yet ;) )

Make sure you're attempting to log in to the .co.uk site and not the .com one - doing the latter gives you the error message about how many attempts you have left.

After being unable to log in all day yesterday, it's just let me in.

Hopefully their problem is now resolved......better communication with their customers wouldn't go amiss though!!

Thank you. I had been trying to figure this out for ages and was running out of attempts!

When I log in with Google Chrome there is no problem but when I tried logging in with Microsoft Edge all sorts of error messages popped up - wrong page - need to send you a code etc so will stick to Google Chrome for logging in.

I believe that Marcus sets up an identification cookie on your browser which may not link into any other browser.

If you delete your cookies on Chrome it may mess up the Marcus login identification. Some anti virus programs also periodically delete cookies. This affects Tesco Bank as well but all they do is automatically send a text to complete the identification process.

As I clean my cookies and history when I close my browser will need to get use to the code being sent just like I am now with Tesco.

Use ccleaner to do your cookie and browsing history cleaning. It allows you to keep selected cookies. The free version is perfectly good. Nonetheless, they will keep trying to sell you the paid-for version whenever they do an upgrade, which is frequently. You can turn off notification for upgrades.

That would be a good enough reason for me to ditch the AV program. None of their business what I do with my cookies.
