Parking eye Aldi

Hello everyone,
Apologies for posting this, when it's probably already been covered. I've had a bad day.
We just received notice of a parking invoice at our local Aldi. My partner was driving the car and would have put in the vehicle registration as you should do, but she was dealing with our autistic son having a very big aggressive meltdown.
The date of the event occurred on the 14th of September, the date issued was the 18th. The date on the notice is 27th of September. We only received this notification on this Saturday the 29th, it says if we haven't paid it by 01/10/18 it'll increase to £70. It says a payment to be paid by the 16th. Then yesterday we received the letter saying it's now £70.
She were in the car park for 37 minutes! She's got the receipt to prove it, I've not contacted the appeals process through them or the POPLA? I haven't contacted them yet as I don't want it to backfire but I wanted the support and help from all you knowlegable lovely people.
Thanks for reading.

https://www.aldi.co.uk/customer-services/storesI used the terminal in store but have received a parking charge, why is this?
The terminal systems are introduced when the ANPR cameras are still not preventing people from abusing the car park and our customers are unable to find spaces to shop in store.
This terminal system links up to the cameras so the registration is matched against the picture taken by the ANPR camera.
This ensures that the person driving the vehicle was using the store whilst being parked in the car park.
Should this condition not be followed a charge will be incurred as it would indicate that the store was not used. This charge can then be appealed with ParkingEye or with Aldi ourselves if you were shopping in one of our stores at the time or can provide proof of purchase.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
complain by email to their CEO direct (and / or as above), complain about the pcn, give the reference and copies of proof of patronage (copies of receipts and redacted bank statements etc)
insist on a cancellation , by complaining as an occupant of the vehicle, or use the royal WE instead
but , DO NOT MISS the deadline to appeal to the PPC, the appeal template is the blue text template in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread
DO NOT REVEAL who was driving, to anyone0 -
If she has got receipt for shopping done in store on the day, quick polite but firm email to CEO of Aldi with evidence of being frequent customer and how you don't want to go in there anymore and how upset you are etc etc etc should see this PCN killed off
Ps, The email address for CEO of Aldi is on here somewhere I know it is0 -
