Parking Eye Parking Charge - Tower Road Newquay

Hi, I have received a parking charge from Parking Eye for the Tower Rd, Newquay site (which, after reading lots of complaints, I now realise it was a bad idea!).

The notice stated that we were there for 2 hours and 11 mins and gives the times that we entered and left along with a photo of the registration. We parked there on the 25/08/2018 and I received the notice yesterday 01/10/2018 so as you can imagine I don't have the parking ticket from over a month ago.

I am sure that we paid for more than 2 hours, but it doesn't give the payment information on the notice. I have tried to contact Parking Eye to say if they can send me my payment details and it proves that I overstayed then I will obviously paid the fine, but I can't get in touch with them on any of the telephone numbers I have found for them as it is just a recording and doesn't give the option to speak to somebody in person.

Has anyone had any luck in contacting these people? If they don't have any details of the amount paid is it worth appealing?

Send the blue template appeal from post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Send it unchanged - no additions or alterations necessary.

Send it as the keeper

dont bother ringing them

use the blue text template from that NEWBIES FAQ thread, and appeal as KEEPER on their site

then read the POPLA DECISIONS thread at the top of this forum, looking at the last page or two. there is one in there about a similar "overstay"

so copy their popla appeal, adapt it if required and use it at popla , they won on GRACE PERIODS, clause #13 of the BPA CoP, (2 grace periods apply , one before and one after) , therefore so should you

Can you please check the date, as PE don't normally take 5 weeks to send a NTK.

The date is correct, I thought it was strange when I got it.

I will definitely be keeping all parking tickets from now on, but I will also try not to park in a privately owned car park!

I was just about to send the template that you guys kindly sent me when I realised that the parking charge details were online (not on the notice they sent me):

I've tried to check the tariffs for the Tower Road site, but cannot find them. I'm sure that £3 was more than 1 hour (we have a 5 moth old baby and a 7 year old so just getting them and stuff out the car takes 30 minutes!).

Does anyone know how I can find out the parking tariffs?

Should I still send the template?

there should be a facebook group about Newquay with info like this, as many people get caught out down there

possibly other recent 2018 threads that may include pics, plus try google maps street view etc

It's the lovely thing we call a 'Golden Ticket' - and the keeper will win!

Go and read the section about ParkingEye Golden Tickets in the 3rd post of the NEWBIES thread. The keeper will win at POPLA, can't lose.

I assume the recipient is the rk, not a company car/hirer/lessee?

as mentioned above, the KEEPER wins on a technicality because PE were tardy in sending out the NTK


so yes the driver may have underpaid, but PE have no idea who that was unless somebody is stupid enough to tell them , lol
