So an online company which sprung up like a mushroom after rain won't take any responsibility for your ex's actions in your property? Which actions did receive your approval but no longer do and you think it is AirB'n'B's problem?

Deal with your ex if you want control of the property hell, pay someone to be a caretaker of it if you don't want to move in yourself.

So you originally agreed with your ex that they could manage the property and let it out via air BNB, but now you want the situation to end?

    This.

And the beef is NOT between the OP and AirBnB. The OP is not AirBnB's customer. AirBnB have zero relationship with the OP. AirBnB should be telling the OP that they're very sorry, but this is not their problem... because it isn't.

Like I said earlier, there are several ways to look at this...
    1. Ex still has keys and access, shouldn't have. Change the locks.
    2. Landlord wants to give tenant notice. Do it legally.
    3. Dispute between partners in dissolving business. Going to get expensive...

The one thing that's for certain is that this is NOT between the OP and AirBnB. But... the OP's decided that's what it is, and doesn't want to hear different opinions...

What tenant? OP has made it clear that the ex partner has never lived in the property, so who is the tenant. Yes the argument is between OP and partner but airbnb will are involved but soon wouldn't be if OP moves back and refuses to let any airbnb customers in the premises. Airbnb will very quickly remove the property from their books if OP does that.
    It's nothing , not nothink.

my OP was all related to AirBNB and how they allow Users (an AirBNB term not mine or a legal term) to abuse the platform and take zero action to rectify the situation, or provide any support to legal owners of the product their platform is designed to sell.

I've resigned myself now to that's just the way it is, and will work to resolve this directly with my -ex using some of the ideas posted here.

I think you need to re-read the thread a bit more carefully, AdrianC

In reality it does appear that Airbnb are being very irresponsible in failing to protect their guests. Turning up at a property to be told that it is not available is unlikely to be a pleasant experience.

Should this actually happen the OP should inform any guests that Airbnb were aware of the situation and provide appropriate evidence so that the guests can claim compensation.
