Excellent best of luck.
- as an aside and not aimed at the OP in the slightest. Isn't the obvious answer to take the key away from the user. I often end a romantic relationship by offering my ex partner a job managing my AirBnB.
Another post that adds zero value...
How do you propose I take a key from someone who doesn't want to hand it over?
Last attempt at a joke can be answered by reading the thread (again).0 -
Have you changed the locks?
No?
Change the locks.
If she changes them back, change the locks again and call the police.0 -
So you originally agreed with your ex that they could manage the property and let it out via air BNB, but now you want the situation to end?0

Yes! I'm not sure why so many people keep asking this and saying there is something missing.
My OP clearly said:
"The person listing the property had my permission previously, but is now refusing to give me access to the account, show me the bookings, or declare the income being received;
Therefore I have decided to withdraw my consent for that 'User' to list my property;"0 -

- No it cant. At some point you gave them a key and entered into a commercial arrangement. You now want to end that and haven't explained what the terms were.
If they refuse to hand it back (assuming your contract allows you to) you change the locks.
AirBnB is nothing to do with this.

1. What was the arrangement?
2. What were the terms and conditions?
3. Do you have the right to withdraw consent?
These aren't silly questions, it's actually very important to understand what you can and cannot do.
You may not like that this is going on, but had you hypothetically agreed they could manage the AirBnB for 12 months in return for X. And they have done X. You cannot take the action you want.0 -
Wow, OP.
There seems to be a witch hunt on, but I don't think there's a witch.
If you got the best answer from suggesting you change the locks and rent it out to a tenant, then I'd cut and run from this thread. It's bizarre.
Sometime the mentality on this board is to find finding something to pick at the OP for. For no other reason than sport.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I just don't see a problem. Move in yourself and tell airbnb, if someone then comes knocking saying they are an Airbnb guest just say sorry this property is no longer let under airbnb. Airbnb will soon stop the property being advertised as it would be them dealing with the aftermath. It's nothing , not nothink.0

It certainly feels like that - I've seen this on other forums, but this seems to be in a league of it's own! :rotfl:0 -

There's no witch hunt but as others have said AirB&B is a red herring. Assuming the OP's -ex has access/keys and some sort of agreement then there's little stopping them renting out on a longer term basis at which point it becomes a significant issue for the OP. Currently all that's needed is a lock change/short term occupation to let any arriving AirB&B guests that they should Foxtrot Oscar and AirB&B will soon get the message. At this point if the OP's -ex needs the money I'd expect another set of tenants to turn up fairly quickly causing longer term issues0
