    Evening,

Starting my tenner a week challenge quite gently as a lot of the week is gone but I have to start somewhere. £5.20 spent in Mr Ts but this included a thankyou card to send to my old colleagues. I finally stuck to exactly what I had planned to go into shop and buy :)

So first day in my new job and it was great. I arrived at 9am and by 9.30 I had been moved temporarily to a totally different position but it seems really interesting and I get an opportunity to work close to home straight away, so tomorrow I will only be 5 miles from my front door. I'm fortunate that I worked in this Dept before as I have literally hit the ground running and will be coordinating workshops and preparing a presentation and briefing by end of Nov!!!!

I got my photo taken for my work pass and the 3 extra stone I've put on these last few years appeared on my face. Rather than freaking out I just accepted the pudding pass and at lunchtime I marched up the massive hill at work and have hit my 10,000 steps target for today. Trying to avoid the pile of sweets that are sitting ready for the trick or treaters.

Day 1 done and hopefully the job will continue to be enjoyable.

That's great news that the first day in your new job went well :T. Maybe now you're not being bullied at work and you've ended your relationship it will be easier to eat healthily? You may have been stress eating the last three years.

Well done on your first day, and for being so close to home in your new position! I also think your mindset over the weight gain is really positive. You CAN get that 3 stone off if you want to, so just keep doing what you're doing :)

    Thanks HHD & Lilith,

I think you are right on the eating. Ex OH used to pinch my side and make bloated faces at me... which according to him was a joke. I couldn’t get him to understand that to someone with an ED or anyone really it wasn’t a joke.

Going to take it 1kg at a time rather than a scary 42lbs!!!

Lunch is ready and work bag is packed. I’m actually looking forward to this afternoon:).

So I braved the scales and I weigh 83.9kg which I know is too heavy for my 5ft 2.5 (.5 is important:)). My ultimate goal is 63kg but it’s going to have to be 20 mini goals.

    :staradmin. Goal 1 - 82kg
  • You can do it Munchin, one step at a time.

    Thanks HHD & Purple

Day 2 was even better than Day 1 :). I know there will be ups and downs but so far only ups.

I’m starting to feel better in myself in general and that should help with eating and overall health.

  • Yay so happy for you that day 1 & 2 have been great at work. Glad you're feeling better.
