People have landed on the moon and all sorts since then... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
In forum terms it is old. I didn't even remember this thread until it popped up recently. And as far as technology such as self scans, a year IS a long time. I may needed brushing up my memory on the thread but I'm pretty certain space travel wasn't involved.
And you seemed to have completely ignored what I said in the rest of the post which surely proved a lot can happen between posts years apart. It's relative (scientifically proven) unless a year is never a long time, in which case you won't mind considering the credit crunch that your salary is witheld for ONLY a year!

All this reminds me of the time many many years ago when petrol stations started to go over to self-service.People were declaring the end of civilization as we know it, and now it is very rare to have someone fill up your petrol tank. I predict that in ten years time ALL supermarkets will have a sophisticated means for customers to serve and scan themselves, with till operators being obsolete.0

i have no problem with the concept of self-scan, more with the poor implementation at present! if there was even a hint of a sophisticated means, i don't think half as many people would object!:happyhear0 -
For some reason when i dont use a bag it will ask em to remove the item form the bagging when theres nothing there,0

Thats a great attitude to have, honestly maybe shop staff would be a lot more smiley and helpful with you and every1 else thats been moaning on this page if most of the customers never had a superiority complex over us just because we 'only work in a shop'. probably b4 9am while its quite the checkout operators are stacking the shelves, replenishing stock etc -
and having worked in a call centre i know full well that however rude people were, you have to respond politely in a friendly manner.... sometimes jobs suck and often, that's due to stupid people, but if you take a job interacting with the public, that's what you get....:happyhear0 -
i wasnt commenting on the whole thread, just the comments of the one particular poster that i quoted:mad:Trying to be happy by accumulating possessions is like trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body - Geoege Carlin0
