OP personally I don't think you have a cat's chance in hell of having a £1K refund but I'm also of the opinion if you don't ask you definitely won't get.


But can I just ask is this the choice of the (hopefully) bride to be? Because I wouldn't be buying anything that expensive on the off chance she liked it.

She's definitely the one She's going to love the ring no doubt. I don't want to sound cheap but like I said we're talking £1k here and not a 10% discount etc. Put yourself in my shoes and you'll understand

Trust me, no one here thinks that potentially saving £1,000 is sounding cheap, that is the idea of this site after all! :beer:

exactly my OH had my ring made from scratch and it is spot on really showed he paid attention to what I like

But I'd make sure that the store you went to had the size in stock otherwise the OP could come unstuck with this cunning plan.

Well it would take a bit of nerve, but if he got a full refund he could go back to the same store and buy the same ring back for half the price!
