I think we generally agree.... except
I wouldn't suggest that if the finance company call to make further untrue statements. I can't see why they would though so let it as payments are being made.
So your advice would be if they did ask - tell the truth and have the contract revoked?0 -
If it came to that then..... Yes.

And, on your insurance proposal, who did you say owned the car ?0

If you tell them it was financed in the husbands name because the wife wouldnt have got credit, then they will terminate the agreement and demand full payment or the car back (and the pursue you have any remaining monies).
Very noble and easy to advise someone else to do on an internet forum.

In my experience insurance companies don't care who owns the car in these circumstances (husband owning, wife main driver).0

They will when the owner should be named as the finance co.tberry6686 wrote: »In my experience insurance companies don't care who owns the car in these circumstances (husband owning, wife main driver).0 -
I doubt they bother as the car would be a marital asset. My insurance company said it didn’t matter who’s name was on the log book when it’s husband and wife, just who drives it most. Main thing for the log book is who speeding tickets come addressed to.0

I'll have it!
Unfortunately the OP is in this situation and there may be an undesirable outcome.
I would be checking the policy documents, if they just say the financer has to be the RK then no issue. If they have to be the main user of the vehicle then it's an issue.
I still wouldn't recommend lying if it comes to it, however it's not my decision so the OP may decide otherwise.0 -

Insurance company is different from the finance company, who will care, but its just a matter of saying its drive 50/50.0
