Neither; both are krap. Choose another, Kaspersky or Bitdefender are good.
I think this job really needs

Bit Defender Free works fine for me but many here say that the built in W10 one is fine.
  • Neither, Bitdefender is much better.

Kaspersky banned from use in government Depts in Dec 2017 due to its Russian origins/connections.
the US Government banned Kaspersky in mid 2018
The UK Gov uses Symantec of which Norton is the consumer arm itself

So the advice to dump Norton for Kaspersky is rather funny

Banning Kapersky due to the Russian origin is pure politics and not founded on anything real. (AFAIK).

And major organisations always go for a major player for corporate AV ... so generally McAfee or Symantec (Norton). That doesn't mean they're better - just the corporate suites are suited to corporate environments ... entirely different to a home environment.

That said, I'm also in the Bitdefender or W10 native camp. :)

...and I wish they wouldn't...corporate windows builds are sluggish enough as it is.....

Don't pay for AV, it's pointless. I'll second Windows defender in W10 or Bitdefender.

Trump's US government bans Russian software and uses American software shocker. If you can't see the political motivation for that I don't know what to say.
