  • My goodness I think I need to send such a lot of hugs today ,there are so many people in need of them at the moment.

I agree it is a cruel and rotten thing to go through, and for those just starting their chemo, I used to think if its making my hair fall out what's it doing to those blooming cells

I was one of the fortunate ones, and I still feel its so wrong with so many people going through it and the government seem to care little for its people no matter the party.

Thank God for the amazing nurses and Doctors who care for us so well.

The hospices who look after not only their patients but their families as well They are the real hero's to me not the footballers and celebs, its the ordinary folk who do the sometimes thankless task of caring for us when we are at our most desperate.

Mrs TA I am thinking of you and hope you and your family find peace and have enough strength for the coming weeks.

H/Harvey we are all here for you honey, and I'm sure you will be fine, I know its easier said than done, but worrying won't help, try to relax and let the amazing hospital staff do their best for you
    which I'm sure they will.

This afternoon I have been knitting some more of the baby balls and trying to think of something else while doing them I have the radio on and was listening to a play which takes my mind of the task in hand

Looks like Mrs SD was also doing a bit of displacement therapy as well :)
    Have a good evening chums

    JackieO xx
  • DH has just phoned - 6:30 p.m. & he is still waiting for his op - he is the last one there :( Apparently there have been a couple of emergency surgeries - people brought in by ambulance - so although fed up with waiting, DH is still upbeat about having the op.
Of course he is now starving as he has eaten nothing since breakfast :( but as he pointed out it won’t do him any harm :rotfl: We are both carrying too much poundage :rotfl:

JackieO, thanks for ‘displacement therapy’ :D I am about to engage in more - but not cleaning :rotfl: - I am getting the knitting out :rotfl: Started knitting a baby blanket 4 months ago  basket weave pattern so need to concentrate :rotfl:

I will pop in when DH is home.

Thank you everyone for your kind words

    MrsSD

  • Thanks for the update Mrs SD. Hopefully the op will soon be over and MrSD can have a bite to eat!

The roast chicken is nearly ready, I'm really looking forward to it!

  • Wishing Mr SD z a speedy recovery.

TA I'm thinking of you and Bob, as ever xxx
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Sorry I didn’t post sooner, but I was so excited when DH finally got home.

DH arrived home @ 21:32  having left home at 12:35  almost 9 hours  He said the op wasn’t as bad as he feared. He has to go back in 2 weeks.

DH is absolutely fine & apparently the op went very well :T So well done NHS :T

Thank you all for your kind wishes and goodnight from a very relieved MrsSD
