  • Good morning everyone,

The sun is just managing to break through the dark clouds. Imminent rain I suspect.

Yesterday's football after work was cancelled which allowed me to do some odds jobs, including visiting my mum for a bit. Then opted for an early night and was probably sleeping for 10pm.

Today I've a busy day at work which includes "The Meeting" which will determine my potential promotion. TGFW has a hospital appointment and I'm picking up her up afterwards so I'll stay late in work.

Tomorrow is the interview for the job in Manchester. It's at 1pm, so I think I'll leave at 9am to give me plenty of time. I'll spend time today to prepare for it all.

HH - Take a day at a time and try not to feel to rushed or panicked. Much like you do every morning, it's helpful to write down your days plans here, in black and white and it keeps you accountable too. I do hope it all goes well and is a more pleasant experience compared to your last.
TA - Thanks for the update yesterday and I'm glad to see you're all getting the care you deserve.
Dumpling - That's very understanding and kind of you. And well done on the Xmas organising.
WeeMidgie - I hope you're day today is less eventful, for all the right reasons.

Holly, I'm glad your appointment will be soon, the anticipation is always worse than the actuality.

Organza, I forgot to say welcome back yesterday.

AOD, I hope your son's mood improves, it can't be very nice being the but of his bad humour.

Chris and Crystal arrived back from holiday yesterday. They had a lovely time with hot weather until the very end. She has another couple of weeks off before she starts her new job.

Laura rang to ask if we'd have Ziggy so we are going to South Mimms tonight to pick her up. We will have her for at least a week, maybe 3.

    Morning all from Mehefinland

A misty cold start to the day here but that big yeller thing in the sky is supposed to come out of hiding soon to clear it all away.

Well Stevie 2 shoes did as he was asked for a change and became Stevie 6 shoes :j Now both girlies have nice feet. Well for the next 6 weeks or so.

Brave Sir Robin nearly met his end when Rileycat found him pinching his cat biscuits. It was a close run contest ( not). I'm sure that cat couldn't catch a cold - although to be fair I haven't seen any rodents for a long time.

The battle with the Leylandii:eek:continues. It is bigger than I thought! Mrs M is wittering about getting a man in. May have to concede defeat as I hate standing on ladders at the best of times

Off to the sawbones this morning, then some financial juggling before getting back to those bloomin trees. Still got to bag poo fr the allotmenters too.

Hugs and spoons to those in need.

Morning everyone and thanks for the start Holly, you have done so well in the preparation m’dear and it’s only natural to feel apprehensive over what’s coming. Sending you hugs and know we are all with you in spirit x

It’s very mild here today, certainly not the cold start of the last few days, and we are due Nelski’s heatwave this afternoon, fingers crossed.
Our lovely farrier turned up just after lunch and put Lu’s shoe back on, hope you were as lucky Mehefin?
Plans today is to go food shopping this morning then get some exercise for me and my delinquent pony this afternoon, in between I have a couple of hours of work to do and any chores that I can fit in, note that they come last :rotfl:
Thoughts are with the TA’s it was good to read of all the care that you are receiving at the hospice.
    Hope Poppy is doing ok?
Hugs to everyone struggling with worries or cares.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning all,
I dont think I posted yesterday,I too have mush brain and have started doing a to do list.Trouble is DH spotted it the other day and added a couple of things :p.Yesterday was hectic-it was DGD 7th birthday. In the morning I walked to As da to pick up more wrapping paper etc., came home and did everyones wrapping, put the bunting and balloons up ready for the birthday tea, iced the cake. She wasnt actually having her tea as her other Nanna & Mum were taking her out afterwards but we did the cake ceremony & luckily DH arrived home a bit earlier.

Took DGS to school this morning, thought we were going to be late as the traffic was all backed up on the main road, but it seemed to clear once through the traffic lights. No clinging onto Daddy today as in the past 2 times :j.His Mummy is on her 2 days off now and will be able to visit her Dad at the hospice during the day rather than after work,so at least DGs will see a bit more of her.

I am off out for lunch with my cousins later, cant wait for a catch up and some time out :D I bought a little baby dress for cousins new granddaughter, who is very much welcomed after her DIL had a stillborn son last year.

I'd better do a quick tidy, take stuff out of the freezer for tea and go and get ready, but not before sending hugs to all, especially Holly, the TA's,Poppy,Taff and anyone else I've missed.Hope the runny noses soon dry up,my DS1 is coughing and spluttering as I type...

  • Ollie, no I was at dgd's house though I often do bring their to the boat.
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Hi chums well Nelski is right, it's pretty warm here in Kent atm but apparently the last day of nice weather, around 23c so even a little chilly for a bikini.

Mrs SD I spoke too soon, I have had another order for 4 dozen baby balls and another possible 3 dozen after that so its turning into a small cottage industry !!! but so far I have earned £70.00 with another possible £100 to come so it will all be cash to go into the holiday account for next year ,I don't mind making them as I knit every day anyway, its just a bit boring knitting the same objects.

Hope everyone has a good day and love 'n' stuff to the TA's and all who are having a bad time

H/Harvey make sure you have a good stash of books to read , or jigsaws and be prepared to watch a lot of TV. Don't stress about the housework just concentrate of resting and recovering and remember we are all here cheering you on

Take care chums I'm off to knit some more b/balls :):) xxxx
