Parking Fine after car was seized by police

My car was seized by the police and as I didn't collect it was told it would be crushed. I have received a parking charge by Athena Parking in a supermarket and even though I have sent them the paperwork saying my car had been seized and I had not collected they say I am still liable. Surely the police and recovery company would be liable for this as after the car was seized the car was no longer mine?

The car wasnt in your possession, you still owned the vehicle until it was crushed.
I presume this was AFTER the parking date?
Why was it parked? Who parked it? If you left it there, then why is it not your responsibility?0 -
The car was seized and I had 14 days to pay the removal costs and storage charges or it would I was told be crushed... I didn't collect it and thought no more of it... 2 months later get a parking fine0

obviously it will be after , it cant be before
was the TICKET (time/date) ISSUED before of after the time the car was siezed
visions of the MET doing "fly parking" , like parking co,s do at airports , going thru my head
the car should have been removed from the public road IMMEDIATLY after it was siezed0 -
ticket was issued after the car was seized0
