You are best posting in House Renting & Buying, as they can advise what you need to legally.

It seems unfair that one (husband) 50% homeowner has no choice of house-guests but the other (wife) 50% homeowner has all the say...Id visit CAB as this does not seem right to me.
I would make their lives as uncomfortable as possible...Irritating 'borderline loud' music, DIY at around at 4am.
as far as what friends are telling you what the wife has said, I would ask her direct. So far its all hear say. I mean your wife is entitled to 50% of the house from what you say its a joint mortage but her sister is entitled to jack squitWith love, POSR

Not at all, he's equally entitled to move in guests if he so wishes.0 -

Get legal advice, its worth every penny.
Any 'sale' between you is going to be undone in the divorce, best option is to sell on the open market I guess.0 -
Nothing to stop you inviting your own guests to stay as well!
As posted above, your best move is to arrange a sale on the open market to realise the full value of the house.0 -

There are 3 children living there though, and none of this is their fault.0 -

None of the people involved are tenants, and apparently the wife has said that she wants a sale and to get her share. So if she is presented with a serious buyer and the offer of a sensible price, she is likely to agree.
As posted above, there are far worse outcomes possible for the OP, so ideas about being annoying (DIY at 4am) are best left on the back burner for the moment.0 -
he could have guests of his own back at any point if he chose to do so
Re making noise at 4am, if you are in a flat you would annoy other people and speaking as someone who has put up with a lot of noise nuisance that is terrible advice. Ive had to call police due to all night parties. Dont inflict noise on people at 4am just because you dont like them
You cant play loud music after certain times of night without other people having the right to call environmental health or police, dont try and harass people out, that is wrong.0
