  • survey for 0-3 year old cars over only 14k people doesn't paint a particularly useful picture imo. if theres a 0-10 year old that would be more meaningful.
  • First time I opened the boot of my brand new VW at the dealership, I saw the large sticker that proclaimed "Made in Mexico". That car was a nightmare, and the awful dealership saw as much of it as we did in the first 6 months. Terrible build quality.

I vowed never to buy VW again.

Now driving a Mazda, and am amazed at the night and day experience, absolutely zero issues on coming up to first MOT..

My previous car was a Golf. (GT 2.0l 140PS Bluemotion). It was really nice, plenty of oomph and comfortable even over long distances. (e.g. Glasgow to Norwich in one trip with only 2 short "comfort breaks").

I would have had another one but fancied something bigger. Was going to go for a Passat but decided instead on a new model Insignia Grand Sport as it looks nicer.
