We had a few days at Lake Garda staying in a lovely boutique hotel. Lots of lakeside walks and Aperol Spritzes. Also celebrated with lunch in a local pub restaurant with our children, foster children and mums, and had a night carving up the dance floor to an appalling Wham tribute band with a group of friends in a rather tacky local "nitespot":D
  • ask her, parents went on a holiday together, they saw what others had been given and decided no party, we did have a family meal though. Oh and they then were trend setters as quite a few others in the local area did the same, ie a holiday for themselves
  • We went to Egypt for a couple of weeks, including a Nile cruise.

We don't normally really celebrate anniversaries, for our first one we bought Trivial Pursuit (rather ironically) and after that just exchanged cards and maybe a meal out. We've been married very nearly 34 years.

One thing OH did one Valentines was give me tickets for a Paris trip for my birthday, and last year we were in Rome for my birthday, neither of which I knew about, and considering how close they are to us weather-wise are a lot easier to plan for, perhaps a trip to Versailles or somewhere?
