What best gift should I get my wife for our upcoming 25th anniversary? I want to pay off all of her sacrifices during the 25 years of being my wife and a mother to our daughters. I can’t think of anything special to get her for. My eldest daughter suggested we should get her mother a new bag or shoes from a foreign brand. What I have in mind is a two to three days’ beach celebration. It’s more fun and memorable. What do you guys think?

I can't remember doing anything. I'm not big on weddings or anniversaries but if it was me I'd choose the two or 3 days somewhere nice.0

It depends what you want to spend ? DH and I did a 3 week cruise from Dubai to Venice with some great stops on the way our children were old enough to house sit for us allowing us the time away. A nice few days in the sun in a boutique hotel would be nice if you have younger ones . Whatever you decide CongratulationsSlava Ukraini0

Why dont you actually ask her, and have a discussion about it, that way you know you have it spot on.,Fully paid up member of the ignore button club.If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, it's a Duck.0

As you've known her for over 25 years and we are just random strangers on t'internet without any hint from you about what her interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes are or what your budget is, it's pretty impossible to suggest anything.

25th wedding anniversary is trafitionally silver0 -
I think a luxurious break away all planned for her to enjoy is a wonderful idea! Is there somewhere in particular she has always wanted to go? Or somewhere you visited early in your relationship/marriage that holds special memories that you could revisit and reminisce about?0

Don't buy her jewellery if that's what she would, like, unless she has chosen it herself. Men have little idea what women really like !
ASK HER WHAT SHE WOULD LIKE ! far better she has something memorable which she enjoys rather than you wasting money on something she didn,t want or doesn,t like.
My OH biught me a ring for a special anniversary. I didn,t like it and to this day itss still in a box in a drawer somewhere unworn. I would have had far more pleasure going with him to choose something together.0 -

But only if the OP's wife actually likes a beach holiday...
The OP's daughter thinks a 'foreign bag or shoes' would be a good present.
Does anyone think this may be :spam: for a foreign website thinly disguised as a request for a gift suggestion?0 -
Is 2 or 3 days on a beach something special enough, as it sounds like you're wanting to do something very special indeed? I'm guessing your children are now grown as you've been married for 25 years, so I'd expect you have been having holidays alone together now. If a few days away is something you'd do anyway then I'm not sure it's hitting the mark you are looking for. However if it's not the kind of thing you have been doing or would do anyway, and you know she'd like it then it sounds lovely. Try to pick somewhere a bit special.
If you can afford it, why not be extravagant and do a holiday of a lifetime? These things shouldn't always be put off until some future date that may never happen.
If she likes jewellery then something special would be a nice reminder of the occasion. Eternity rings, diamond earnings, her favourite gem in a ring or bracelet. Or book to have something desihned and made, which you can do together. Does your daughter kniw if yiur wife has always liked a particular brand of designer handbag but never treated herself to it, or is she just suggesting that due to not being able to think of something else?
Organise a special day with romance and surprises. Buy 25 little gifts that reflect something about the past 25 years. Book an amazing restaurant for dinner, somewhere you'd never normally go. Take her to Paris for a short break, or even for the day if you get up early enough. Write her s message of how much you appreciate her and what she means to you, more than just the stuff that often gets written in a card, as it's amazing how little we say this stuff to the ones we love.
Not on the High Street has some lovely things on a smaller budget, such as jewellery symbolizing your marriage and children, birthstone items, framed prints of the stars as they would have looked from where you met or got married, etc. Someghing like this wpuld be good to go alongside any trip or restaurabt meal you have.
Whatever you do or whatever you spend, the main thing is that you've given it real thought, made the effort and tried to do something a bit special that you kniw she'd like and different from what she usually gets.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
