I used to be with them some years ago and found them ok but then went onto BT because I wanted BT Sport. Now I find that Plusnet offer the same service so I rejoined them last night for a much lower cost. This morning I looked at their forum and read one lady's complaint about the service being terrible. She opted for the same broadband service I did ie fibre extra, but despite their claims of 61MBps she was getting nothing like that. Usually about 2MBps and never more than 10 MBps. That is wholly unacceptable to me and even though I am not a heavy user ie Voip or gaming, I do like to stream Netflix and BT sport so I would require sufficient bandwidth for that with no drop-offs .
I also read some pretty negative comments in Trustpilot and other sites so I am wondering whether i should pull out before the 14 day cool off period is over. i would appreciate some comments. Thanks

If you're going to knee jerk due to one unhappy customer who sounds like they have a technical problem then that's up to you but you'll be joining and then leaving everybody if you do that. I also wouldn't go off Trustpilot because trust is the last thing I'd have in them.
Just for clarity I've never had PN BB and just left their mobile service (never had an issue) for Sky mobile.0 -

It may be she has technical difficulties but she is not getting much help from PN's customer services so I can understand how she feelsArgentine by birth,English by nature0 -
I'm with plusnet. No idea if the speed is what they promised but I don't do much streaming so it's fine for me. What has got worse is the amount of time it seems to take to get through on the phone nowadays - not bad enough to send me elsewhere as yet.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You are not on that persons infrastructure .
They why the speed is so low may have many reasons and number one is user fault .
Could be here distance from the cabinet quality of line etc .
Its comming down the same line as your BT was so i would stick or at least test your incomming speed.
Alternative find another supplier of BT Sport ( BT just raised prices).0 -

yes according to Ofcom on average about 07.50 minutes waiting time which is far worse than all the other providers. Whilst their broadband services would appear to be ok in terms of customer satisfaction their phone service is not and i presume that refers to waiting timesArgentine by birth,English by nature0 -

apologies yes .VM would not be an option for me as I dont have cable.I suspect Sky wouldn't be either as I have no desire to subscribe to their TV box.Now Tv i have not thought about .I do have a NOW TV streaming device which I only use a couple of times a year when there are specific sporting events on but I have no idea how that would work re broadbandArgentine by birth,English by nature0
