Would be interesting to know how to find out exactly when a handset has been paid off.

The handset has been paid off exactly when the contract ends.
Theyre not being overcharged, people are choosing to carry on paying the same rates.
I mean im not being overcharged because i pay monthly for my amazon subscription am i? I can get it cheaper, im just too lazy to sort it out so pay a premium for it.0 -

Just another headline that's supposed to make people more sensible and promote the bureacrats as organisations which do something - when they what they do is often worse than what was there beforehand. Methinks it's often the overseeing organisations which absorb vast amounts of our money and do very little (with a few exceptions) which benefits us.0

The report is timely because there is an Ofcom consultation on end of minimum term notifications currently in progress. The closing date for responses is only a week or two away.0

That would be a good thing. When I spoke to Sky broadband last year regarding this, they said that we have so many customers there isn't a way to notify customers about their minimum term coming to an end.0 -

There isnt a way?
Im pretty sure theres been a way of doing this since mail merging was invented in the early 80's.
I was 12 years old when i could create a database (on Access) and use that information to mail merge.0 -
Companies could warn you should they wish to do so. Consumers themselves could make their own records should they wish to do so. Nowadays we always blame companies for consumers' own shortcomings.0

Too good a money spinner for them to do anything until forced. About time the regulator got off its !!!! and banned handset inclusive contracts.0
