Too good a money spinner for them to do anything until forced. About time the regulator got off its !!!! and banned handset inclusive contracts.
There we are - a sledgehammer to "protect" the lazy and ignorant at the expense of the rest of us. Maybe you should apply for a regulator's role since you're definitely right for the job.0 -
IMO much worse than the bank PPI problem, but as its not the nasty banks nothing happens.0

While I believe it is morally wrong that companies do this, I actually have no problem with them doing it (if that makes sense!). I think it should be up to the customer to look around for better deals.
The only thing I think the companies should have to do is notify the customer that the minimum term is coming to an end and that alternatives are available. They shouldn't automatically reduced the price once it's over.0 -

Of course, companies could be really upfront and tell consumers this when they first start the contract... Oh wait, they do that already!0
