Evening everyone! I'm home!
I've survived another afternoon of supply (the children had ICT and PE which are 2 of my favourites as they don't involve any marking), and I also managed to drop off my timesheets into the agency on my way home, so I'll definitely be paid next Friday. :T
Apparently the school that I did my first supply in have asked if they can have me back next week if the other supply teacher can't make it, so they obviously thought I was ok, which is good. The agency will let me know when the other girl gets back to them as they asked for her first as she's done quite a bit of supply there now. Also the agency are going to let me know tomorrow if I'm going to be working on Monday, so that I can determine whether I'll be free to babysit on Sunday night (will have to say no to sitting if I'm teaching the next morning as don't want to be too tired to teach).
I must look up the rules for benchball, as this seems to be a popular game in primary schools, and I don't know how to play it when the kids ask to play it in PE.We had to have a game of dodgeball instead this afternoon as none of the children could agree on what the rules for benchball were. I got to use my whistle for the first time today though, which was exciting.
I must try to find a nice cord or ribbon to wear it on.
The children showed me a website where you can do virtual knee surgery and other gruesome things (in cartoon) which I'm going to try and find now. Anyone who is interested it is www.edheads.org/activities

Hiya
Running around doing odd jobs this morning; post office, currency, cheese....that kind of thing. Then worked until pick up time. Got children home and did 20 mins maths with DD as she's struggling with it at the moment. We've found 20 minutes a night has really helped her though I feel mean doing it when she's had a full day at school. If anyone knows any good websites for year 4 maths that would be great. We're using the bbc one at the moment which she loves. Just given them their tea and i'm going to do my flying now. Only problem with doing the bedroom is that it's so tempting to go to bed! I'll report back in when I've finished so if i'm not back on tonight you'll know I found sleep too tempting.
Hugs to all...glad the supply teaching went so well sexymouse.

i'm around.
not up to much. I chopped dinner, DH just stirring it around for me.
Need to do a small amount of work before tomorrow, so think i will be doing that, then having a nice bath and bed.
I have been to watch one of my colleagues teach today. The irony is that i trained him to teach, and then he now teaches like i used to, and apparently that is what i should be doing. Enough to drive you round the bend. He enjoyed me being there as some of the kids i taught 3 and 4 years ago, so they behaved loads better cos i was there. All very strange. I give up trying to get my head around it all.
Sexymouse. cheers for that website link. i think i will pass it on to my mate who teaches in the learning support unit as it was probably too basic for me.
lil-me , fleas, i heard the eggs can live for two years when i was looking into it when we got them. I must say though i haven't seen any for a while now touch wood, so i'm not sure how true that is.
will go and get on anyway - want to watch waterloo road./ right busmans holiday for me.

Hiya
I managed to sort the bedroom out. I also spent an hour putting all the children's certificates, awards etc into files for them. They then spent an hour looking through them and remembering events they've been too. It also includes their school reports so they enjoyed looking at those too. Anyone with little children i'd definitely recommend keeping all the 'paper' keepsakes as it's lovely to look through. DH flying home a day early this week so think i'd better wait up for him to come home xxJanuary budget

GnB I'm here. Think everyone started the week with a "flying start" and by thursday we are all worn out so off to bed early:D
Currently I am feeling sick but its self inflicted as I have just scoffed half a bag of haribo starmix. They are so lush but I just cannot stop myself eating them.
DD1 taken to swimming
Tea made, scoffed and kitchen S & S
DD1 put to bed early at her request (story read)
DD2 put to bed 7.30 (story read - the sames ones:rolleyes: )
Currently nagging DH to find something to wear to his works Xmas do. He wants a new suit anyway but having trouble finding anything he likes.
Well done on the teaching Sexymouse. Will all be good experience to put forward on future job applications:D
Pigpen  to the tumbler of fire!
Haribo anyone - please save me from myself0
