    Evening all.

Havent achieved much else this afternoon as been in and out of bathroom. Only additions to list have been WM x 5 and TD x 4 so have sorted loads of washing. Unsure whether to start ironing as I have to take another potion but thought I'd have a cuppa and catch up first. Altho I should be drinking plenty of CLEAR fluids it did say you can have tea or coffee but should I be drinking clear fluids as well :D . Have made sure kids lunches are done and clothes ready for tomorrow.

Thanx for all the good wishes, its actually only an investigation but not nice and not looking forward to it.

    Bye for now

Advice please, what's the best way to clean laminate flooring? It looks lovely at the moment but i'm not sure how to keep it that way. Any advice greatly received xx

I use a weak flash liquid (or asda stuff) solution in a bucket and a mop.

Every few weeks I will wait till it's dry and go over it with water and vinegar, using a micro fiber cloth to get rid of the soapy build up and it brings it up really nice.

Mine has a grain feel to it, which stops you slipping as much and hides the dirt, but its a pain in the butt too as weetabix gets stuck to it!

One of those micro fiber swisher mop things are great for a quick wipe over and a proper mop and bucket one a week.

Lamenate is good and bad. good that it clans up better than carpet and you don't have to scrub child sick out of it, and bad that it takes longer to maintain than carpet!

I'm still not changing it for another 5 years at least!

Oh and rugs just work as dirt collectors on laminate so get ones that can be flung in the WM and that have rubber backs!!!:rotfl:

All done apart from the washing up, which I am seriously considering throwing at my OH. He's come home in such a mood because he's had a tiring day - all uncommunicative and grumpy. Barely even smiled let alone said thanks for the dinner, then having a go for no reason. So I've shut myself in here with the computer instead of having a nice evening with him watching a DVD together. Actually I think I might have a glass of wine. I really wish he'd make more of an effort. It's as though he doesn't think he has to make any effort with me at all. We've not even been married that long and it would be nice to feel like he enjoys my company. Sorry, off topic but had to rant.

Thanks for the laminate flooring tips. I'll give them a try. Ours has a grainy appearance so it doesn't show the dirt much but I still want to keep it clean. On a plus note both mine and DSs excema is much better now we're rid of the carpets.

Lil_me - I wish my parents would divorce. I know that sounds harsh but they'd both be so much happier. There's just too many secrets and lies between them including the 40 grand my mum owes on credit cards whilst my dad is rolling in it. Sorry, winge over xx

Good Thursday morning to you all. Have had a week full of visitors, family squabbles (happens every time SIL is here), trips, and now just want to go into hibernation. BUT - really need to catch up around the house first!

    My plan for today is:

Ensuite: Clean shower, basin, toilet, vacuum floor
    Master Bedroom: Dust, vacuum
Bedroom No. 2: Strip & remake bed, dust, wipe windowsill, vacuum
Bedroom No. 3: Strip & remake bed, dust, wipe windowsill, vacuum
Bedroom No. 4: Strip bed, vacuum
Main Bathroom: Clean shower, bath, basin, toilet, vacuum floor
    Vacuum hallway

Also need to get some business end-of-the-month computing finished, and it MUST be done today!

That only leaves living areas, kitchen, entry and office to be done. Will make THAT list when I get the first one finished

As for concerts . . . Bon Jovi are here beginning of next year, I think. The boss is going to them. I really, really, Really want to see Rod Stewart, who is playing in Auckland on 18th February, but because we are going to watch David Beckham play in December, I can't afford it :( I'm really peed off about it - if I had of know Rod was coming I would have chosen him over Becks!

    raphael you were up early!

Was still in work til 6am!

    Nooooo not the kitchen!BulletWeep_A.gif

I've done no flying today, and unlikely too, but I have got a day off tomorrow (maybe two, we shall see) so I promise I will do extra tomorrow. Look my fingers aren't crossed or anything.

    Ahem...did I say that? :o

I'm sorry, I got home at 6, and have only just got up! :o At least I've still got tomorrow off, and looks like I will have to do the kitchen and whatever's on the cards for tomorrow. Go easy on me Pigpen!

I've no idea what to have for my dinner, I don't fancy anything but I'm hungry! I want something quick and easy.

    Any ideas ladies?

ARGH!!! I just found a flea on my dog!!!! He'd been scratching, his Frontline was about a week overdue and did it on Monday. Just gone through his coat with a nit comb and found a little nasty thing hopping around. I've gone through him several times now and still only found the one but ARGH I could scream right now. It's only started since we moved here, I was thinking it couldn't be from the owners pets as they moved out several months ago, then I read on a website the eggs can live for 9 months! ARGH!!!

Anyway, being a stress head over I have been and found more info, it does say on many sites that treating the pet should deal with it, that any on them will die within 24 hours of contact with them because of the treatment, but think I would prefer to treat the house aswell, peace of mind more than anything else. I will get another bottle of spray tomorrow. Thankfully there is only one carpet downstairs in the conservatory but there is the hall, stairs and bedrooms to treat. Think I am more annoyed as it's the first time any pet of mine has had them, they've always been treated regularly.

raphael for dinner, what about pasta and cheese, oh I just fancy that right now.
One day I might be more organised...........
