  • Hi rumblytum - I'm a relative newbie too. I've found the advice and support on this forum wonderful and best of all the lists that are put up are suggestions not have go tos.

One piece of advice that someone offered me when I first joined that I found really helped was do a room list thoroughly one week and just the easy stuff the following week and cause the rooms roll round again and again, everything will get tackled in the end without you killing yourself of doing housework all weekend.

Once you've got used to what comes round when, you can see what will be coming up and if you've got a few extra mins you can get ahead of yourself or, on a manic week, you won't mind if you fall a bit behind as it all comes round again soon.

Anyway, welcome .......now where's the kettle? biggrin.gif
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts. Already Done
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper. Already Done

I used my pigsback voucher in ther.. collected a 350 points if you spend £50 at the kiosk so used that.. got my points and the points for my online orders.. £47.80 for NEXT christmas now!! and paid a grand old £3.80!!! Only another £80 of vouchers to use in there!!

Just a normal Christmas CD now :rotfl: Thats the great thing about having a dad with a HUGE CD collection I've got some mix CDs for Christmas which keeps me and DD (and OH when he's in the mood) happy as it's oldies (like White Christmas) and more modern ones like Pipes of Peace :D

I'm flying but don't seem to be crossing anything off now?

    • Livingroom, hall & Stairs
      • Dust
      • Damp wipe where necessary (banister, switches, coffeetable)
      • Dry clean window (microfibre cloth - no pets so don't really get dirty on the inside, just dusty ;) )
      • Paperwork Clearance
      • Wipe skirting boards
    • Kitchen
      • [strike]Sort fridge[/strike]
      • [strike]Wipe small applicances[/strike]

Right, now do I dust or do some baking (which will help clear out some of my food cupboard & fill the freezer at the same time, as well as warm up the oven for tea and make it easier for me to clean later? ) Right, baking it is :D DD can dust later for me :p Now to see what I have in to bake :rotfl::wave:

My boots order has just arrived as well.. I have one thing to return to swap but other than that all is looking good.. I have almost saved enough money to do my huge lush order.. I'll be able to do it next Wednesyda when the tax credits go in.

Well.. I've had a pasty for lunch and 4 of DD5's crisps.. I love crisps!! And a cuppa so I'll go up and sort out the stuff I've just bought and cross what I can off my list!! :D

I am starting to feel like christmas is all starting to come together now.. but I am usually wrapping by now!!!!! It takes me a month to get it all wrapped usually!! I'll start panicking mid-December at this rate because it isn't all done!

Does putting a load in the TD qualify as flying?

It's all I feel up to today! Snots is ill again...

And, I'm going to be on the telly again... which means I have to scrub my living room and kitchen!
