1 bed done in the littles room, hoovered, remade and bedding in wash. May do other one later or tomorrow as no space on my whirlygig at mo. Right I will go and do the wardrobe top but need step ladder.
This child is driving me mad! Apart from the fact I did not get enough sleep neither did she and whilst I am just bad tempered she becomes the spawn of satan!0 -

BUT I've decided I'm not vacuuming until we get a new vacuum :rotfl: I've seen one in Asda for <£30 so I'll get that at the weekend and OH can put it in the car to bring it home
The one we have we've had since before we moved in here so thats at least erm...3 years and it wasn't exactly expensive (<£50) so I can't see a problem with getting a new one.
I've found a more efficient setting on the fire - it's on its highest heat setting but I've switch some flue (sp?) thing on it off so it's now belting all the heat out into the washing - drying things much faster :j
Right, upstairs to S&S bathroom & make beds...while I'm there I'll grab the whites which need to go in to soak, and the jeans/pink washCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Dailies

Morning
Wednesday is still master bedroom day for me tooI actually dust and vacuum all the bedrooms on Wednesday but I strip my bedding today. Two loads of washing on the line and blowing well, some sun too. The forecast is for it to get colder so I fished the winter duvet out of the airing cupboard and put that on. I let the lighter one air out over the banister for an hour and now that's packed away in the airing cupboard for next year. I think the reason the winter duvet warms me up is because it's so big and puffy (feather) that I get boiling hot wrestling the cover on
Also remembered to do the stairs and then dusted and vacuumed living room and hallway. S&Sd kitchen and vacuumed.
No cooking because we've got stew left that I just need to heat up at dinner time. I like that! No cooking
Waiting for a parcel that was supposed to be delivered between 3rd and 6th. *Taps foot.* I hate waiting for anything.
Parcel just got here, with the postlady. Marked TNT Light. I've had letters marked TNT post before delivered by Royal Mail, but never a package. Must be why it was so slow if it had to be sorted by TNT first and then Royal Mail. Glad I ordered early! I've got another parcel due tomorrow, wonder if that will be the same. It was all one order from Amazon but they split it up.0 -
Hi lil_meRumbly, welcome, some of the people on this thread do work full time, some part time (some in addition to being Mam's) and some are full time Mam's, a job in itself. What I will say is it is amazing what you can fit in to a small space of time. On much busier weeks I have a list of jobs with a time on them of roughly how long it takes, it takes me say 10 minutes to vacuum sitting room, dining room, kitchen, utility and conservatory...so if I have a 10 minutes spare I do a 10 minutes job. I'd started doing this between DS1 getting on his bus for school and taking DS2 to school but his bus keeps being late, grrrr, means no 10 minutes spare.
Thankyou so much - that's such a great tip. It's very easy for me to say I can't vacuum on working days because of the time I get in - but if I work out the time it takes, 10 minutes vacuuming isn't going to drive the neighbours too mad. Brilliant!
Feeling embarrassed not to have thought of that before

Jive Bunny on again :rotfl: I've just had to put our shower in to soak in the bath (it's attached to the taps so just unscrews so easily
) as it had that horrible pink slimey ick on it  So I'll S&S the bath when that comes out
Just got a shock when I went upstairs, OH had a HUGE (well for him anyway) pile of clothing next to the bedRang him at work and said "whats for the wash & whats supposed to be in the drawer?" Turns out he'd put a few layers on for Bommie night to keep warm and had just dumped them on the shoe rack (which doubles for his bedside table
) to sort last night, but between parents evening & his new mobile he'd forgotten  So jumper & trackies in the wash, another jumper in the drawer and jeans/tshirt/jumper left out for him to wear tonight
Has meant I've ended up with another load of washing to do but I don't mind as I'm actually toasty but not hot today
Right, I suppose I should put the dishes away, have some lunch, wash more dishes (including my lunch ones) and then put these blouses & socks in to soak

Hiya
solwaykid - I am the same - the weekends are taken up with house cleaning, so I would be immensely grateful to find a way of spreading the load. I think my problem with Flylady is that I've tried to do too much too soon, so I really like the idea of different levels. It will take a while to set up new habits, so I mustn't expect to run before I can walk!
kazmeister - thank you also for the welcome and the tip about meal planning. I'm partially there, I think. I plan a few meals - but not for specific days - and buy the ingredients accordingly, then decide the night before what the next day's meals will be. This is great when it works, and I can really see the advantages, but I think I need to be a bit more specific in advance, because some times I find I've only got a meal that needs a lot of prep., but because I'm going out I have to ditch it and have pasta instead. I will look at this area again.
I'll be out of action next week, but am really motivated to join you all the week after!
