Evening everyone!
I SURVIVED!! - Just! One girl in my class was suspended for a day and a half cos she got in a strop and then turned around and deliberately stamped on my foot before chasing another boy around the classroom trying to hit him. She has autism, and so I don't think she liked the fact that I wasn't her usual teacher, and combined with the fact that some of the boys had been winding her up at lunch and the TA confiscating her knitting due to the fact that she could get angry and use the needles as weapons, I think this pushed her over the edge. I felt really sorry for her father though, as he was really nice about it apparently, and her mum died this year so he is on his own with 2 autistic children to care of.
The class are very rowdy, and I had to shout at them quite a lot, and now I have a sore throat as well as a sore foot. The TA said that I was fine with them, and that even their usual class teacher has problems with them sometimes, but I do think that they were trying to push me to see how far they could go because I was a supply. There are a couple of nice kids in the class, and there were only 18 of them in today out of 20. Have had to move quite a few of the girls about as they are very chatty, and avoid doing any work because of this. Managed to mark their fireworks haikus and there were some lovely ones there, so I'm looking forward to continuing them tomorrow. They have IT in the afternoon, so they are spending the first half of the lesson typing up their poems and the second half researching a tudor monarch.
No flying done for me, but I did wipe down the surfaces in the kitchen last night as they needed doing, and the dishwasher was put on this morning. I don't have a dining room, so that is one less room to worry about, so I think I'll catch up later in the week with all of the bits I've missed. Off to dinner at OH's Mum's so looking forward to an early night tonight after a hot shower and hairwash. Ooh, and Holby City cos I missed it last week.
Hugs to everyone who needs them, especially LJD1, and pigpen after all the drama of last night.

I told you it would all be fine sexymouse - you have to learn to listen to your elders!:p:D
Good luck with your interview rach - when is it?
Well I haven't gone to work tonight - DH is on another night out so I decided that I would stay at home rather than my dad having to have the kids again! Plus I'm absolutely shattered - I was awake at 3am yesterday because I'd got that interview, then I went to work in the evening, got to bed around 12 and DS got me up at 5.30am so I want an early night tonight!
No flying done yet as I've been in school all day. All I've managed is:
WM x 1
TD x 1
Some washing up
Fed kids!
So I'm going to try and get one or two bits done now although I've got a banging head but I think that's just a combination of tiredness and Aunt Flo!
Hope everyone's well

sexymouse well done on surviving the first day, sounds like there was a lot for that young girl to deal with today (I disagree with suspending them usually as they get used to it and know what buttons to press to 'get out of school' but that is of course another matter entirely and up to the school) and you of course.
Congratulations rach and good luck
...well DP has gone and kids are being quiet watching TV so I'm going to have 10 minutes present hunting online before I bath themOne day I might be more organised...........

Evening All
All I've done today is sort out my xmas stuff and made lots & lots of lists. So now I know:-- What I've brought for xmas & whose pressies are completed
- What I need to buy for xmas & who I need to buy for
- What food shopping I need for xmas
- Xmas Card list
I really need to get some cleaning done, I'm at the doctors tomorrow to discuss my "back to work" date and if I can convince him I might go back next week (doubtful though)
Please can someone give me a big kick, I really need some motivation
Got to go & get DS from football practice.

LMS don't worry, I have lists about making lists
you're not alone there, I like them, they are reassuring, usually. Oh and BIG KICK up the BUM!!!
Well I have given up present hunting, bath time, might run myself one after I get the boys sorted, depending how much time I have left, still got toad in hole dinner to attempt yet! Saying that I have been good and peeled a pile of spuds and all the carrots (some were going bendy so will cook them all and freeze what is left) which means there will be less to do.
Juliejim, delegate!!! Ban DP from nights out until you finish the other job..If all else fails, panic? :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........
