Hi everyone,
Wow - you all seem so scarily organised!
I try to follow the Flylady method, and generally like the approach, but it would be great to be part of a team. Does anyone else work full time on this thread? I tend to only vacuum at weekends because of the time I leave and get in, but can do other bits. Any tips?
I would like to join in if I may - although I won't be able to for a couple of weeks as I'm just about to do a show, and my time is not my own for a couple of weeks. I'll follow the thread though, and see just how amazing you all are, and then take the plunge!
rumbly xx0 -
Brown your sausages first in the pan while your oil is heating in the oven so they should be at least half cooked by the time you put them in the oven with the batter:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I wish I could go back to bed but I have parents evening at 5pm  OH is not in, his parcel hasn't arrived and an email he's waiting on from Sony still hasn't arrived either  I think when we get back from school I'm just going to have a bath & do nothing!
There goes the timer for tea. OH will just have to eat his cooler

Thanks for the tips. Makes sense really, why didn't I think of that, finers crossed my toad in the hole doesn't become a disaster zone this time. Will make it once kids are in bed so can concentrate, I will face my cooking fears!
Rumbly, welcome, some of the people on this thread do work full time, some part time (some in addition to being Mam's) and some are full time Mam's, a job in itself. What I will say is it is amazing what you can fit in to a small space of time. On much busier weeks I have a list of jobs with a time on them of roughly how long it takes, it takes me say 10 minutes to vacuum sitting room, dining room, kitchen, utility and conservatory...so if I have a 10 minutes spare I do a 10 minutes job. I'd started doing this between DS1 getting on his bus for school and taking DS2 to school but his bus keeps being late, grrrr, means no 10 minutes spare.
Well that has saved me some present hunting time, DPs mam (however much I don't get on with her) has got two nintendo DS lites for £120 where she is working so will just owe her the money when she comes back (doubt she would think of getting them from her as doesn't usually buy them anything) saves me some money too as they are £99.99 each in argos. One day I might be more organised...........

Tra la la, just killing time whilst I wait for DH to ring he is on his way home so I know when i can put the pasta on. Cabonara sauce all made, also made onion & chive rolls and pixie biscuits:D .
Littles have been playing shopping (found my stash of carrier bags) so now have 10 bags full of playmobil, happyland and goodness knows what else. They were all on the sofa- looked like we had had a tesco delivery. Banished they to the bedroom with them (Dont worry they all have holes in and I am keeping a close eye and ear on them).
May nab the bags back and jump in the shower and wash my hair, then should be time to pop the pasta on:D - DH just phoned.0 -
Shell - I'd def speak to the school. When things like this happen to my DS the teacher always lets me know at hometime what happened, when and how it was dealt with. Sadly it happens all too often as we have a 'thug'' in his class too. Thug's mum is ones of those who when told just laughs and says boys will be boys....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...don't get me started! Lol. Hope you get it sorted.
My house is tidy downstairs and it didn't take long either. Just need to sort the laundary and i'm done. I'm going to have an early night tonight so if any of you see me on after 9 O'clock please will you tell me to go away!
Speak later xxJanuary budget

Shell, have you got a recipe for the carbonara sauce, please
I tried making one about a month ago and it was awful, would love a tried and tested recipe, when you have time of course
thank you
Bloomin' Quidco, knew this would happen, 3 transactions (worth about £100 in cashback!) I was hoping to have the cash from by Xmas haven't even tracked or appeared, 2 enquiries sent and one I can't enquire about until tomorrow, bloomin' thing!
DP oing out in about 5 minutes, going to put the boys in the bath then and snuggle up on the bed with a book or 2 with them, then kick them to bed and do a meal plan for the rest of the week. Something I've been slacking on!One day I might be more organised...........
