Hi, so we’ve had a few texts and emails from Moorcroft asking for us to contact them as Newday have terminated our credit agreement but a default still isn’t showing. I don’t know if we should go online to Moorcroft and set up a payment plan or ignore them until a default shows on our credit file? Thanks0

Have been on my IVA for 2 years out of, I think, 5 and a half (the extra months were added due to a payment break whilst battling with cancer).
My IVA is through PayPlan and I'm quite happy with how they handle things and the yearly reviews, the only nuisance is their insistance on trying to get the payment to higher than i can reasonably afford. I've managed to keep it betwen £130-150 a month, and would like to keep it here going forward, especially with the constant price hikes. I think going with them was the better decision as going DIY would have broken me mentally.
However we did get some happy news, my Provident should within the next few months be cleared and marked completed as soon as the on-going case WRT mis-selling is completed. Yep, I'm getting an abysmal amount of compensation, but I wasn't expecting anything!0 -
I’ve also been getting calls from Arvato But I’ve not had any letters from them and no default has been issued yet either. Do I email them and say I want contact in writing or do I hold off? Thanks0

Sorry, further to my above question I have received a link from them where a letter from my credit card provider ND is in my online account and dated today saying they have now issued a default and Arvato have taken over and I need to set up a payment plan with them. It says I can do this online, do I now at this point complete my I&E and send it to them telling them how much I can afford? Sorry for all the questions but I’m starting to feel rather stressed out as we’re getting constant calls and letters and lots of sleepless nights worrying about it all ☹️0

Don`t be stressed over debt, its simply not worth it, its only money, letters and calls are easily dealt with, that`s why you have a blocker on your phone, and a recycle bin, don`t overthink the process, once you have a payment plan in place, all will go quiet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you Sourcrates, does that mean that if the credit card provider has said they’ve now terminated my contract and the DCA is dealing with it that the interest will stop or should I be waiting until it shows on my credit file? I don’t want to jump the gun and then they don’t issue the default?0

Interest will only stop once an account defaults, and/or is sold, wait till it shows as defaulted on your credit file, no harm can be done by waiting, the DCA cannot take legal action as its not there debt, and they are currently dealing with the account, keep checking your credit files and any letters sent to you.
This is the game you have to play Unfortunatly, its never easy, or quick, so just r e l a x about it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I’ve just noticed at the bottom of the letter from ND that it says Arvato are working on their behalf and if I don’t resolve the matter they may issue a default notice but at the top of the letter it says they have issued a default, it’s very confusing.0

Has anyone had any experience with Arvato? i had a look on their website and it says they can send collection agents to your home and take you to court if you dont co operate with them? I'm sure on previous posts here i have read that credit companies will engage with DCA to try and get their money back for them and if no luck its passed back to the credit companies who then sell the debt and issue a default.I'm sorry for all the posts but i saw sourcrates reply above so i think i will wait until it defaults but then i've read the above on their website so it just worries me. I just want to be clear on the process as the letters i am getting say they have issued a default then at the bottom of the letter it says if i don't communicate they will issue a default, so if i set up a payment plan with them the interest won't have stopped, i read reviews of them also and they seem like the worst company to try and deal with and will hound you and harrass you, sorry but i am really starting to get into a panic as i am trying to do this all myself.0

Afternoon all
My CC defaulted in February with Halifax but I still haven’t received any correspondence since my last statement that month. Finding it strange I’ve received no contact ? Assuming it’s just the long winded process and a bit of a waiting game but strange that I’ve received correspondence from others following the default but no action yet from them ? Anyone else had experience like this . Thanks0
