I presume you'd have to pay BT for the phone line, and the satellite ISP for internet access.
This company offers a maximum 40GB limit per month (about 40 hours of HD video streaming) for £60 a month, with a £480 set-up fee:

I'd just get your ADSL ISP to fix the problem -- it's what you're paying them for.0 -

In between the cut-offs.
Sunday I must have had about 20-30 or so - I lost count.
I had 4 cut-offs yesterday.
I've already had one this morning.0 -
You have the right to cancel your contract because you are not getting the service contracted.
However, unless it's fixed, you'll probably have the same problems with any provider.
Satellite BB is an extreme option and expensive, mobile BB would be cheaper.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

It sounds like exactly the same problem I was having with Sky -- a line fault.
I insisted on them sending an engineer. It had to be quite firm with them, but the engineer swapped the line being used and the problem was fixed.
Make an official complaint, and escalate it (do Ofcom/Otelo still exist to arbitrate disputes...?)0 -

Only skimmed through the preceding posts but has anyone suggested 4G internet such as Three HomeFi? Not as cheap as a landline but an awful lot cheaper than satellite.

If you go into a Three shop 100Gb a month is available.

The Plusnet engineers came in this morning and basically I made it rather plain I am fed-up to the back teeth with the number of times I've had to call them in since moving here and I have noticed the neighbour isn't having to do so - so what's the big difference between me and them?:mad:
They confirmed it as being a line problem - as we all thought.....
They say they've changed "a cable" over in the green box thing.
Yep....still wondering if this area (with its scarcity of lines) meant "my" line/cable/whatever got swopped with someone else's (particularly with knowing who some of my neighbours "think they are" and they just have to mention their name and "wham Service" at other peoples expense iyswim).
Plusnet swopped it back again - because they realised just how much I am protesting about the level of service now and going from annoyed to very annoyed to ballistic/"How high do I have to go?" level.
Fingers crossed that has dealt with it once and for all #putting foot down very firmly smilie (yep....I was contemplating whether it would do any good going to the local MP here with a request to get off his regular little personal hobbyhorse and Do Something).
EDIT; Ofcom do still exist - but the stuff I read about them seems to indicate they will only deal with Broadband suppliers and refuse to deal directly with customers.0 -
Does the phone line sound better now?0
