Hi thanks for reading, it’s not no I mean we have more then enough each month to pay and live off but it’s the whole £100 here £250 there and when we owe money I’m not entirely sure why we use the remainder after paying as disposable income , I think that’s our main problem , we could be paying more instead of wasting it. Good Morning All Happy Hump Day !!
Was at the coop this morning and spent £8 on some essentials! Need to pack this in and plan more from Aldi so I don't pay the higher prices.
Jobs for today:
Clean Mums house and walk the dog !
Quick clean of my house when I am back
Clear out some more of my wardrobe of anything I don't wear, either to sell or donate.
Make dinner, will be something with chicken so maybe a curry - need to check what few bits I need,
I noticed last night that OH has £115 left in his account untill payday Friday so will get him to pay £100 of his overdraft !
Iv registered my VIP slot for the next sale tomorrow. I have a next account with £0 balance and it will stay like that its just good to have the account so you can get on first when there is a sale. Going to browse for the next few sizes for my little girl, the clothes are to cheap to miss this will be paid by cash ! No more credit!!

Yesterdays total spend - £10.75 , could of been alot worse.
Very pleased with myself though, I popped to Aldi to grab a Fajita Kit ended up picking up three (two for storing) and a nacho kit and burrito kit. Then I had a bight of a mini light bulb moment, why am i storing these? There £2 in Aldi and I have fajitas about once a month - so i put them all back, and just got what I needed. Usually I would bung in a couple of special buys just because oh and a new candle, its a rule apparently I must have something new for the house when I go to Aldi! Not anymore!!!
Also went through OH bank yesterday and in September alone (we are only on the 20th) he has spent £280 on takeaways/fast food/Tesco meal deals. Plus the £200 we have always put away for food shops, we were both disgusted in ourselves and agreed that isn't happening anymore!
My dad called me yesterday I have received a cheque for £27.50 from my car tax refund at his house so I am going to go and grab that today and bank it probably tomorrow and that will come straight off my CC.
Im hoping for a no spend day but I am off to the Hearing Dogs with some friends and the babys so I may treat myself to a cuppa when out but that is all, ill be sure to eat breakfast before I go and lunch when back ! Im like a new women.
Also need to find something for tea, ill have a rummage im sure there is stuff in there ! I just need to find it!
Payday tomorrow !! Woo Hoo cannot wait to see those figures going down !!

Day 3
Yes!! Today was a no spend day!!! That’s two out of three since starting my diary!
Also the friend I saw today gave me back £12 I apparently lent her ages ago. (Good friend as I had forgotten) so the £12 plus the £27.50 from my car tax will all go towards my credit card.
So the OH gets paid tomorrow looking forward to those figures changing. Iv calculated paying everything this month on his earnings of £2000, from his commission slip it looks like it will be a lot more so hopefully some added extra to chuck of the debt.
He asked me today about booking flights for his friends Stag in April. I can’t tell him no it’s his money so I put it in the way off ‘if your commission is bringing us over what is expected then yes aslong as any extra you have is divided by the savings account and the debt’ - he was on the ball so that will be £100 but we shall see.
Going to get up bright and early to do some cleaning and plan out Aldi shop tomorrow before the baby wakes up. Iv budgeted £50 a week for food and nappies/wipes. We are pretty stocked on cleaning supplies as before I started this diary I started following Mrs Hinch and went a bit crazy with purchasing. Even before our shop usually comes in around £39 - £42, so we should have a small saving from that, now I’m deciding whether I leave the leftover in the food budget account to start building up a tidy some in there of take it and use it for debt - if anyone wants to advise please do.
I was thinking today about switching our bank accounts so we are all in one place - anyone have any recommendations or please share your ways of managing the ‘pots’ . In my head I’m thinking , an account each for our money, a joint savings accounts for bills and then two savings accounts of the joint account for savings and one for food. I’m so new to this not even sure if we can do that. Help!!Loan - £18291.29

Having several bank accounts is a good idea but I would advise that they are not with the same bank. Sometimes bank systems fail, notably TSB and Nat West in recent months. Having a separate bank account elsewhere is a good idea. I suggest one main bank account where income goes in and bills go out. An emergency savings account only to be used in emergencies and maybe a disposable income account which can be used for food, fuel, entertainment, discretionary spending. Another savings account for gifts, car maintenance, annual bills. So that would be two current accounts and two savings accounts. You could also each have a personal account for personal spends.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
