how about a 3 bed house for 28k up in sunny glasgow, funnly enough i recon you could probably still make it pay as a dss btl pay after a refurb.

Because of traffic and a new job i might be moving to that side of glasgow, its looking like it will be cheaper to buy a 3 bed house rather than pay the petrol to drive to livingston every day lol (resonably nice areas are like 90k and my V8 is sucking close to £100 a week in juice)

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

while a 4.5 liter motor aint exacly sensible i get bored easily and if i dont have a bit of a monster to keep me scarred ill probably crash it.

its not just the petrol costs though, there is basicly 1 road through glasgow and its a car park most of the time so a 45 mile drive on the motorway can take 2 hours, commutng upto 4 hours a day aint much fun and i only need somewhere crash sunday to thursday when im working in scotland, rest of the time ill either be working abroad or out on the lash in town.

ML postcode = Motherwell , North lanarkshire not Glasgow.

If it was a RUFF bit of Glasgow the windows would be gone as well ;)

My house must be the worst house on rightmove as nobody is buying it;)

I might just give it away and buy the flat for £1;)

I recently saw a house advertised (it's not there any more doh) where all the windows were boarded up, the particulars stated that the boiler and radiators had been removed along with all the UPVC double glazing but once the sale had gone through the owner would pay for the reinstatement of said items. Mmm - I really wish I'd bought that property, it sounded like a sound investment

A house near me was up for sale by sealed bid. It had no gas or electric, no bathroom, no garden and no parking (including no chance of parking on the road). It finally sold for ... £300K!

    Location, location, location ...
    Gone ... or have I?
