Worst house on Rightmove?

£100,000 for a house in Chatham with no bath?

Then I saw this in Burnley. Did everyone suddenly abandon the town?:

Incidentally, check out the "bird's eye" on the map of the same house. Great feature.

What is the worst property you have seen on Rightmove?

Is the Burnley place one of those ones that the Govt is going to buy on our behalf and bulldoze?

I saw a program once where someone accidentally purchased a house at auction that was subject to a CPO. They'd already started doing it up when they were told. Turned out they made a big fat profit when the offer was finally made by the relevant authority.

I wish I was that stupid.

Yeah, I did some quick research on that road and it is a CPO area.
Made a posting, but as this site's currently experiencing issues, the posting was lost .... so I wandered off for a cigarette, coffee and banana

There are large tracts of Burnley that are equally grim - it features regularly in the Edward Mellor and Pugh & Co auctions.
Until recently people were buying houses in these sort of areas in one auction for about £28k and then selling them 1 or 2 months later for £33k, hence the so-called fast rising areas. They hadn't done anything to them, they hadn't even rented them out, they just let the headlines do their work. Same goes for a lot of Openshaw, it's all still as grim as it was and what really keeps it down there is that the surrounding areas are better and never that much more money.
