Snoozer - I've recorded Killing Eve so will catch up later. I'm really enjoying Press (so far) and No Offence and of course Bodyguard. For me it's a much better year for drama than for a long time. Couldn't get into Trust, too many unpleasant characters for my liking.0

Hello everyone, rather dull, but not too cold here. OH put the CH on last night and this morning as the house felt cold after being empty.
OH gone cycling and I have been pottering on the internet, great time waster, but to informative too. I will have a quiet day as I have to go to Birmingham tomorrow for my first infusion for Osteoporosis, it is a long trek, but of my choosing as I am seen there for other conditions and felt it better to go there for this, gets complicated with too many different health authorities.
Sending best wishes to Holly, The TAs, Poppy, Lamewolf and Mr LW, Csarina and all who are having problems. I know from the support on another thread when my DB was critically ill how much of a comfort it is when others are thinking of one, no matter that we are virtual friends and neighbours.
Supper tonight will be some hand made pies bought from farm shop adjacent to camp site before leaving, had the best cooked breakfast ever there too, so hoping that they will be tasty. Need to stoke up bread maker and start the washing mountain, if I do not disappear under it. Have the best day possible. x

Morning all,
Yesterday we went over to the farm where DH has lots (and lots!) of stuff stored,& also stuff from our various house moves  Anyway we went to fetch the box of LPs that havent been played since the 80s probably :rotfl:We got a cheap turntable this week.It does mp3s,&CDs and you can transfer the music to mp3 as well. Our godson ( our best friends son )is in a local band who are having a vinyl record produced and we'd have nothing to play it on,hence the purchase. As we were eating we had a musical journey back in time to our courtship and early married days in the mid 70s .Some have survived quite well but others ,what were we thinking :rotfl:Now DH is enthused about starting collecting vinyl records again, they're very 'in' now you knowAs if we don't have enough clutter !
Thats good clutter though Rosy. A good friend bought me a turntable last year but it was one of the ancient scratchy ones. Hours worth of memories once I had found my LPs, singles and 12 inch mixes in the loftFirst ever single bought ...I'm not in love 10cc (strange choice for an 11 year old I know) First ever album ...Regatta de Blanc Police and loads of very long 12 inch mixes like Walking on Sunshine Rockers Revenge  hours of entertainment I even had some of those floppy singles you used to get free in Smash Hits :rotfl:
Enjoy the bubbles0 -
Hello, I have had a completely unproductive morning so must get on with things. I have just realised that I'm cooking today and haven't done anything about that -I will do a roast etc tomorrow for OH'S birthday.
I have a friend popping in later, other than that, no interesting news and when people are posting about their posts being boring, mine could give theirs a run for their money!
I must go and stand in front of the freezer, hoping for inspiration.
Nelski thank you, I've been concerned about Holly.
Thinking of those who need a bit of extra support.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Thanks Snoozer, I've sent you a pm.
I'm still reading along but August was a hard month. First of all there was Noah....and he and the house troll knew each other too..... On the day that we went to Noah's funeral, one of our other family friends died very young of a heart attack. My friend who is fighting bone and liver cancer is still with us. She also had the same eating problem as Mr TA but hers improved once chemo was started. She's never going to be cured but the longer that she has without very incapacitating symptoms the better.
The HT is back at school and has started his GCSE's but then he was off the first three days of last week dying of manflu and my sister came from Ireland to stay for a long weekend last week. When everyone went back to school/home the awfulness of everything hit me quite hard for two days but I was rescued by talking to some of my other friends including my lovely best friend who when I sent him shopping for cheap tonic water reappeared with Fevertree tonic and some decent gin. He's a fab listener and a wonderful friend to the HT and I.
So.....the running came to a halt for a couple of hectic weeks but I started again on Friday. I can still run even after a break so that helped with the "happy". Yesterday I baked cakes for the first time in ages for some other friends who were having a quiet night in after spending two weeks helping the partner of the friend who died. I also made Thai chicken (minced turkey because I'm lazy) dipping balls which are slimming world friendly for my tea and there were enough for lunch today. I have not lost any weight over the school holidays.....
Thanks for thinking of us. I'll try and post on a more regular basis now things seem to have settled down a bit. Take care all of you.0 -
That’s a lot of medication to keep tabs on LW :eek:I recently bought this pill box for DM to replace a tatty old one. It's really good as a whole day can be lifted out and each box can hold lots.
Mine are in two pots, his are in five, (so, sadly, that container that Gers kindly mentioned wouldn't have sufficient compartments per day) as they have to be taken at different times, mine are time-sensitive in that the morphine needs to be exactly 12 hours apart; his have to be taken differently - one sort at least half an hour before food, and another has to be one hour before food.
I have enough pots; I just fear putting the wrong tablets in the wrong pots when I'm dishing them out.
I have printed out a little spreadsheet to refer to, which I keep in the meds cupboard - and that's another problem again, the cupboard only just holds all the packs of tablets now!
So...... the way it goes is....
07:00: Mr Wolf: 1 tablet and can eat half an hour later; me: a dose of Oramorph liquid to offset the pain of getting joints moving - in fact I often take this at 06:00 as I can't wait any longer.
His tablet is in the small red tablet box
07:30: Mr Wolf: 3 or 4 tablets (alternate days); me: 6 tablets
Mine are in the blue shot glass, his are in the red shot glass
12:00: Mr Wolf: 1 tablet, and can eat half an hour later
This one is in the agate-topped tablet box
17:00: Mr Wolf: 3 tablets and can eat an hour later (includes the last one that has to be at least half an hour before food, to simplify matters)
These are in the porcelain-topped tablet box.
19:30 Me: 6 tablets (not all the same as the morning ones)
These are in the silver box with a green jeweled butterfly on.
22:00: Mr Wolf's sustained-release tablet before bed. If he's planning to have any supper, it must be finished a good half-hour before he takes this.
This is in a wee pewter chalice.
All the boxes, glasses etc are collected up in an old dog-food tray (!) for refilling ready for the next day before we go to bed - this is my task.
It makes life...... interesting, shall we say.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Flipping heck LW  keeping up with that lot must be a nightmare of logistics.
Snoozer - spoiler alert in white ... I decided to watch Killing Eve on my tablet via iPlayer, the whole series is on there.0 -
Cranky, thank you, I've replied.
Gers, thanks.0 -
Gers, it's luck of the draw if we can find a convenient mooring.
Nice to see you Cranky, sorry to hear things are hard.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
