You can get a professional job done for a lot less than £2300. You could try Matt Finish Kitchen Respray as I can vouch for the quality of their work. See some examples on their website at http://www.matt-finish.co.uk/kitchen3.htm

  • Take the doors down to your local car bodyshop. Much cheaper.
  • I know this is an old thread, but you shouldn't be paying more than £40 per door to have then sprayed (unless you want a high gloss finish)
Also, hand painted kitchens are all the fashion now.
I've done a couple of hand built kitchens and they were hand painted with F&B paint.
You can use a mini roller to get the paint on nice and evenly and then use a brush for the hand painted effect.
  • I recently used Matt-Finish to respray my kitchen and was amazed with the finish, I have had my kitchen hand painted before and the brush marks you just can`t hide. Whereas the finish we got on the doors, end panels, base & wall units and trim was 2nd to none, all the newest colours were available and my entire kitchen was transformed for £1300,no mess & a top professional job.
I highly recommend them and would try them before anyone else.
  • Just buy new doors???? Must be cheaper

If there just your bog spec doors then its would be around £150 cheaper a door to but new ones.

    Hi

Have an oak kitchen which I am thinking of getting resprayed. Been quoted about £2300 to do all 10 bottom cupboard doors and 8 top doors + drawers and end panels.

Wondered if anyone has had it done, whether it was successful and who they had to do it.

    any help greatly appreciated.

Hi i respray kitchens all the time and £2300 is crazy, i charge about £20 a door, and i use the proper stuff to seal and respray doors ( polyurathanes ), i wish i had seen this post earlier,
If you paint your doors with a normal paint or varnish it will peel and ruin your doors, then it becomes expensive to remove the old paint/varnish to get them done right, but please dont pay silly amounts of money for this type of job.

why would anyone pay 9000 quid to respray say an old ford ka when they cost 8595 for a new one?
    Get some gorm.
  • Does anyone know anyone in Leicester where i can get my kitchen resprayed without spending thousands on it?
  • hi, i also respray kitchen doors, along with all other furniture. i have just finished a job which consisted of 26 doors, and 13 drawer fronts. i charged the customer £735. which is nearly a third of the price you got quoted!! seem very steep.
