Driving Licence...carry or leave at home ?

I am required to carry mine whenever I drive a works vehicle so it's always in my wallet.0

I always carry my photo licence in a clear pocket in my wallet.
I do this because I am a narcissist and love looking at it.Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???0 -

I believe (and TonyMMM will correct me if it's untrue) that the offence is complete when you fail to produce on demand, but it is a statutory defence if you produce it to a police station within 7 days.
I always carry mine, it doesn't take up much space in my wallet aand sometimes i need to produce photo ID in my line of work and it's better than carrying my passports around with me...0 -

I use to work with a guy who when he passed his test, arrived late the next day in his car.
When questioned about why are you late. Because he could not find his licence and he said he was told he could not drive with out it.
Personally never carry it as knowing me I will loose it.

My photocard is in my wallet at all times. Why wouldn't I? It's handy for whenever photo ID is needed - collecting a parcel, f'rinstance.0 -

So you are saying that if I'm asked to produce my driving licence at the roadside and I do so, I have committed an offence?0 -
I don't carry mine.
Never been asked to show it in donkeys years of driving and I have a habit of mislaying my purse while out and about. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
