Morning it's a coldish Thursday today and I've got the heaters on in the site office
I've redone my pots spreadsheet and I have a good forecast for the year
This year hasn't quite gone to plan but next year I am aiming to be better.
I think DH is happy with his decision, he's a bit annoyed about the whole situation TBH but I think deep down he's happy he's out of it.0 -

Morning, it's very cold here on site again although the sun is rather warm.
Completely forgot my phone this morning and left it on the side in the kitchen...I wasn't completely awake and only remembered it once I'd got off the motorway.
The hardcopy of DH's contract came through, he seems rather happy about it now, although he says he was a bit twitchy about how long it has taken him this time to get a new job.
Forgot to mention, I had my haircut last week by someone mobile and I have to say that I am not impressed and definitely won't be using him again. He did DD's hair ok, she was pleased but me less so. Back to the drawing board. Still it looks better than it did.
A few surveys done this morning, inching closer to pay out on OP and although close to £10 on PB it's been dragging for ages. Still haven't ventured back over to PA since the change over.
Although October has been a slight wash out in the terms of a few things, I am determined to get on top again for November.
I won't hit my mini targets that I set, there's far too much going on between now and the end of the year BUT the washing machine should be paid off as I will have the funds saved in the pots account.
There's no swimming lesson for DD this weekend as the pool has sprung a leak, however DS has bag packing with the Cadets tomorrow morning, so still no lie in for me.
Plus she had no Guides on Wednesday as they have moved it to today as they're doing some campfire thing at the local church.
Things to do this weekend:
Sew DD's blazer - ripped under arm and button missing
Sew DD's badges on her camp blanket
Change our bed
Clean bathroom and ensuite
Dye my hair - it may not look as bad afterwards
Go for a walk or the gym
I hate the dark and gloomy days and can see myself slipping in to my hibernation mode, I really need to shake myself out of it.0 -
Dark days are miserable. I don't like them either. I've heard that getting as much daylight as possible helps with mood, especially combined with a walk or something. It's difficult to fit in when the days are short though. Could you manage a lunchtime walk to get some daylight? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Site is based on a business park near a rough housing estate, its that rough even the wildlife carry a knife for protection! I do take a wander from my desk to the main building to use the toilet, so I do get some daylight.0 -

I hate this gloomy weather too. It's been lovely this weekend though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hi Purplemum
Congrats to your Dh.
I'm the same with these dark evenings. I just want to get in my PJs and slob on the sofa.
I'll have to read back a bit to find out what your pots account is lol. It sounds interesting anywayUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Congrats to your DH
