Morning,
Apologies for the recent moaning on here, not very MSE but gave me somewhere to rant :rotfl:
Both kids were at it yesterday, I feel sorry for their teachers. I am hoping that DS especially settles down. I have yet to contact the school regarding the changes in detention procedures too.
So moving on...............
January round up (I have decided I need to do these again!)
Good things:
Stuck to meal plan as close as possible
Stuck to dry January as much as I could
Brought my lunch to work as much as possible
Managed to stick to the budget
Pots are building up nicely
DH has a tax refund due...this will go to the car pot
Bought myself some much needed jeans
DH's 50th birthday is more or less sorted
More people sponsored me for my trek
Bad things:
Our lovely friend died
Fell of the dry January wagon
Won't make my LTW target
Can't get motivated and need to
DS is being a complete pain
DH's eye appointment was cancelled, but has been rearranged
I need to get my thoughts together for February and sort my goals out. I have very little motivation, which I think is due to the season but need to shake myself out of it.
I will come back later with my February goals.0 -
Okay, enough wallowing...drawing a line under January and restarting a fresh.
Things happening in February:
DD needs £25 deposit for another Guide Camp
DD has a slumber party to go to on the 2nd
Book in for an eye test - Although my test is free due to my appalling eye sight, my glasses however aren't...hence why I avoid the opticians as much as I can.
DH's car tax is due
February should theoretically be a quiet month apart from the above.
February Goals:
Lunches to work - this was working well up until I got ill so I am aiming to hit my target of 20 days
Training - I must do more walking and up my km's
Plan for March - Mother's Day is coming up, plus I'm on holiday for my birthday
Other stuff:
Our lovely friends funeral will be held at some point
Housework - I have been neglecting this badly
Badges - I know, I know, hoping these will be done by then
Emails - I have a lot of emails on my old account that I need to delete/unsubscribe from....last count was 12000 :o
This is supposed to be general stuff that I should know to do but I lose my focus, we are getting better in the respect of a lot of things compared to many years ago but I guess like most things it takes time to learn and get it right.
Sorry waffling again! Still February should be better and I am looking forward to it starting.0 -
Love some of your goals but  how many emails!

I know, a lot of those are from the competitions I've entered.0 -
Good luck with the goals x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and MSE is a great place to rant
.
It is hard to feel motivated in January when it's cold and dark, but hopefully the days will get lighter soon and that will make us all feel more motivated and energetic. Your February goal sound good.
