Morning,
I have woken up feeling quite positive this morning, so I am hoping that this feeling lasts.
I've checked the Capital One card and the balance because interest has been added is now £454.25  that's outrageous!!! So I am going to pay the £54.25 off tomorrow when DH gets paid. That will put it at a nice £400.
I do have money in my pots that I could wipe out that CC and I am sorely tempted to do so, but that would mean that my Overdraft fund and my CC fund would be empty and as much as I like the idea of the card gone, I don't want to use the OD fund as once that hits £500 (it's very close), I want to pay it off the OD and reduce it.
The MBNA card will be down to £5250 and next month I am aiming to get that under £5K, so my thinking is that my CC fund would be better for that instead.
The LC will be down to £9520, so if I can I want to get the £20 paid off before the end of February which will round it down nicely.
Right I'd better get on with some work before I get shouted at.
Be back later xx0 -
Can you not BT the cap one to one of the others if the interest is less on one of those?
You're doing well, and lovely to hear you feeling more positive
Keep going, have a lovely day

So sorry to hear about your friend, take care of yourself x
Agree can you move that balance from Cap1, the interest is so high on such a low balance.

The other two are on 0% but I think the transfer fees probably aren't worth moving the Cap One over for such a small amount. The Lloyds one is charging a 3% fee. The MBNA one has a 4.5% fee.
I may consider moving the MBNA one over to Lloyds once the 0% deal run out later on in the year. Everything in one place then.0 -
Glad you're feeling positive Purplemum and hope you had a good day at work

Woo hoo, it's Friday and it's pay day....two good things rolled in to one
- Various money has been moved to cover bills for February.
- All CC's has been paid.
- DH's car tax has been paid.
- Kids dinner money accounts have been topped up.
Probably a bigish challenge but beside the £20 off the LC, I think I may have a go at trying to pay the extra £50 off the MBNA too.
A lovely friend of mine sponsored me this morning, so I have hit my £200 target, just need to get to £300 nowFor my birthday I am going to ask family for donations instead of presents.

Good news on the fundraising, great idea about asking for donations instead of presents.
