Slimming for Halloween - Slimming World support thread 2018

Well, to try and minimise the risk of Saturday's mess up, I've restricted my syn intake Sunday and yesterday and today to a grand total of 0 syns.... which isn't uncommon but I sometimes get tempted on Monday by cakes in the office and syn the odd one. I've also done my hard SP (as I call it) which usually helps a bit. I don't usually recommend it, but I've found it's surprisingly good at undoing a bad carby weekend.Rooting for you tonight Stoke. It may be too soon for Saturday to have caught up yet. You'll get there, hopefully sooner rather than later.:D
If I can have a maintain or 0.5lbs off, I would really be over the moon with that and then straight back on plan to help me reach that naughty 7lbs Halloween target, fingers crossed, by next week. It seems so much harder though when you're only losing 0.5, 1 or 2lbs every week
I wrongly got a bit over confident a few months back thinking that it wouldn't slow down because I was losing a fairly steady 2-3lbs every week.... it does slow down, it slows down a lot!!
Ah well, I'll walk in with a smile and leave with one regardless. No point in getting too down at this point...
Also routing for you Stoke.
Did i tell you my cousin lives in Stoke?
Errrm, possibly, i think we've mentioned football a few times
(Back to normal form Saturday!)
What part of Stoke does your cousin live? I don't actually live in the middle of Stoke anymore but I used to live city central. Despite its problems, I do miss it. I moved to Alsager just over 2 years ago which is sort of on the edge of Cheshire. Bit easier for work and a little bit less problematic..... but nowhere near as 'entertaining'.

Which I think is near Stoke?
Hmmm..... So Newcastle is about 10 minutes away from Stoke centre. Could be Hartshill as you go through there to get to Stoke. Maybe around Basford Bank area.
Newcastle is a great place btw. I went college at NULC when I was 16 and it's actually where I wanted to live instead of Alsager. It has all the fun of a decent night out and restaurants with so few of the problems that you might get in the city centre.0 -

Fantastic, we were in Penzance ourselves. We wanted to visit the Scilly Isles, you can catch a boat but it takes 3 hours ish and you only about 4 on the Island which we felt wasn't enough so we are going to do a proper trip instead.
If you get chance to visit Penzance for any extended period of time, have a look at the Admiral Benbow pub, even just for a drink (although they get people visiting just to see the building). It's not for everyone, don't get me wrong but basically, it's the pub that was featured in the novel Treasure Island and the original part of the pub is still there (albeit the pub is much bigger now). It's packed full of character though, artefacts from boats etc.... a really interesting place.
Good luck and have a great time
Thank you Stoke. Yes the Isles of Scilly are amazing! It’s interesting how many people do make use of the ferry for a day trip but as you say, it is much better to do a proper week or two trip if possible, it’s the only way to really experience the islands, there’s so much to see. We are back to the main land on Thursday 😔 but, we do have another day in Penzance as part of the trip home so I’ll look up the pub, many thanks!“WHAT WE FEAR DOING MOST IS USUALLY WHAT WE MOST NEED TO DO.” RALPH WALDO EMERSON0 -
