Would this affect my husbands credit rating at all?
Yet another swallowing of the 'this will affect our credit rating' absolute urban myth. Please read here so you're never worried about this, ever again!

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Thanks all - will take it further.

Just to confirm I have emailed and put everything in writing it’s copied and pasted above in one of the comments above. The phone call was to alert them to my email and seek assurances it would be replied to on Monday latest.

I hope you follow IamEmanresu's advice and the defendant files his own claim for compensation for distress/harassment and excessive/unjustified data processing.

You will need to read other cases to work it out but this is a classic one to make them pay you.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Is it worth me submitting a SAR to kick this off?

You would be mad not to send a SAR.
  • Sorry to come back.

    Should I do:

A SAR to both NCP and BWL
A SAR to BWL and a complaint to NCP about how they have handed my data (I know for sure they have wrongly shared)

    Or something else?

I’ve had a reply from BPA (but not from NCP):

    Dear Mr XXX

    Thank you for your email.

The BPA does not become involved in complaints over customer service issues. From the below chain I can see that NCP have informed you that you should disregard any letters received in connection to the charge. I would therefore expect them to resolve any issue now. As you have also sent us the same copy of correspondence, I would expect that they will respond to you shortly.

    Kind regards

What a rubbish answer from Jo Barnes Compliance Officer

It's no wonder an MP recently said that the BPA was as useless
as a multi storey car park in the Gobi Desert

Jo Barnes confirms this on behalf of the BPA.

NCP cancelled the charge then set their debt dogs on you
and worst of all instructed BWLegal

And the BPA does not get involved ??????

Go back to the BPA , a one Steve Clark steve.c@britishparking.co.uk

Will he sanction Jo Barnes or NCP OR BOTH

The reply from Jo Barnes is even more reason for
government to kick out the BPA as an ATA, THEY are
    only interested in their members.

And YES ....A SAR to both NCP and BWL
  • Thank you @beamerguy
  • Just reading up on the BPA code of practice which is clearly at odds with the way NCP have behaved!

Been out of the house since 5.30 this morning and going a bit cross eyed so will draft a strongly worded email to Steve Clark in the morning! With a copy of their own code of conduct attached...
