Recommendation for a Heathrow Terminal 2 hotel.

I've been trying to remember which airport it was where I checked my case in the day before. I've done it twice, but to be honest, I can't remember if it was Heathrow or Gatwick.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Have you considered using a luggage shipping service? You would still need hand luggage for overnight things and paperwork, perhaps in a backpack?
That's an interesting idea. However, I'm only going for a week, and I have heard of delays in getting your case, which, if you're there for a month, might not matter, but just for a week, would be disastrous.
As dropping the case off is not an option, I think getting a hotel as close as possible to a bus stop and then getting the hoppa might be the best option. Hopefully it won't be too full at that time of the morning. £5 might seem steep for a few hundred yards, but if it makes life a lot easier, it's well spent!
Or possibly a taxi from the hotel if the weather is foul. More expensive still, but would save me getting to Departures wet and frazzled.
Thank you all. It's all very well looking at maps and plans and timetables, but there's nothing like hearing about people's experiences. I could have made some assumptions that turned out to be ghastly!(I just lurve spiders!)

Hoppa buses come to the hotel front door, no bus stop involved.
Do they? That's good! Even better then! See, it's knowing little things like that which make a difference.(I just lurve spiders!)
