No it's not mistyping. I checked what I was typing by pressing on the eye and also made sure that caps lock wasn't on.

To install from usb, try easy2boot. It formats you usb key, creates folders on it. From here you drag you iso into the existing windows layout. So far it works with windows and linux, however Hiren DVD is iffy and I would avoid that one as all the choices do not appear

I too on some systems have the keyboard mistyping. Even though the system and hardware are the exact same, set up for the same language, country and keyboard, it still types on one system as USA keyboard. This is on an enterprise system and there is just too much paperwork to fix this glitch
