Just thought of another question. What are the programs assumptions regarding home equity? Does it assume that equity will be released if needed? Up to the 25% or so I've seen mentioned elswhere?
Yes, EvolveMyRetirement releases home equity, but only if needed. It assumes a maximum of 25% of home value for a 50-year-old, with a sliding scale up to (a conservative) 50% for an 85-year-old or older.
Correction, that should be 25% for a 55-year-old. Equity release is assumed not to be an option if younger than 55.
